Today's update is a character who used to be the fastest one in the game.

Captain Falcon! I've always loved using him. This time around, he's bringing his F-Zero racer along for the ride, and things will get interesting. To Unlock the Cap'n (No, not THE Cap'n) you must fo one of three things - play 70 Brawls, beat Classic Brawl Mode on the Normal difficulty setting or greater in less than 12 minutes, or get Captain Falcon to join your party in The Subspace Emissary. Note: with the exception of the last of the three methods listed above, you’ll need to face Captain Falcon in a brawl and beat him after satisfying the above conditions to unlock him.
His Special Moves are: Standard Special Move - Falcon Punch, Side Special Move - Raptor Boost, Up Special Move - Falcon Dive, Down Special Move - Falcon Kick, and Final Smash - Blue Falcon.
The Falcon Punch is back! And this time, you can pull a 180 with it. When Falcon is charging it up, tap in the opposite direction that he is facing. If he's facing left, tap right. He'll spin and punch and your opponent won't see it coming. It's a little more powerful too. His Falcon Punch is, well, it's exactly the same as always. He kicks. There's a falcon or something. Woohoo.
With his Final Smash, Captain Falcon calls in his F-Zero racer, the Blue Falcon. He jumps in and - if he hits an opponent sends everyone to a F-Zero track. He then crashes into them dealing huge damage. Sakurai mentions that Captain Falcon is the only character to have a cinematic Final Smash.
