Dojo Update: Secrets for Continuing
By Geoff GirardinG-off. Monday, March 3, 2008 3:15:18 PM

When you are playing modes like Classic and Adventure Mode, and you die, you have the option of continuing. However, you will have to pay a small price in order to do so. In Classic Mode, if you would like to continue, your score gets cut in half, your score gains a single point (to keep track of the number of times you continued), and you forfeit a number of coins. Each difficulty has a different coin cost. Easy - 10 Coins, Normal - 20 Coins, Hard - 30 Coins, Very Hard - 50 Coins, and Intense is 100 Coins. The coins we are talking about are the ones you use to bet with in Spectator Mode. Which means that they are the very same coins that you would use for the Coin Launcher. If you are dedicated to beating the game on Intense, make sure that you have a large amount of coins. If you run out of coins, you will get a Game Over.
If you would like to continue on Adventure Mode, you can choose either 'Get Up', to go right back to the game, or 'Return to Map' and, well, return to the map. If you choose 'Get Up', you will lose one half of the Stickers and Trophies you’ve just collected (items obtained from orange boxes and CDs are guaranteed to stay in your collection), you will resume play from the beginning of the step (the unit of area from one door to another) at which you died, and the amount of coins you get for beating the stage slightly decreases. If you Return to Map, you won't start the stage over (obviously), but the effects are basically the same. Except that the loss of coins is greatly increased. So you're probably better off just getting back up!
However, if you return to the map you can save and reselect your difficulty.
