Guitar Hero: On Tour Revealed for DS

, , , , , , , , , ,

For quite a while now, fans of both the Guitar Hero series and the Nintendo DS have been wondering when Activision would bring the hit franchise to Nintendo's hit portable system. A couple of months ago, the title "Guitar Hero: On Tour" showed up on a release list, but Activision wouldn't confirm it.

IGN and Yahoo! Games have teamed up to exclusively confirm that Guitar Hero: On Tour is officially headed to the DS, and they have the screens, details, and video to prove it. The game will ship with a "Guitar Grip" that plugs into the GBA slot of the DS. The device has a slot for a stylus pick, which will be used to strum strings on the touch screen.

The game is set to release this summer, but no price point has been set.

Check after the break for more screens and a video.

It looks nice, but to be honest... you can just play on normal :frown: I'm a big fan of guitar hero for the PS II, but you only get really challenged if you play hard, with all five strings. But after all, the Grip is cool :D

Well maybe they do something different with the strumming to make it a bit harder .
And for me at the moment hard is a bit too hard for me on GH3 .

Yes it's very tricky, but pure fun. Ever tried "Raining blood" on Hard? I don't even pass this on normal
