Mario Kart B-Wii-tle: Best Prize Ever?

To make sure the release of Mario Kart Wii goes off with a bang, GAME are offering UK inhabitants the chance to win this incredibly awesome customized VW Beetle.

TO be in with a chance to win the car, all you have to do is pop into one of the 30 stores that are involved in the comp on 5th April, and record the fastest lap on the game. All players will receive a certificate of their lap time and will be entered into a prize draw for a £50 GAME Voucher, and the winner from each store wins a £250 experience day voucher and will get an expenses-paid trip to the Mario Kart Wii launch party. There they will be able to compete to win the Mario themed car.

It's just a shame that my nearest store is in Portsmouth, and due to a ridiculous local town rivalry, I can never step foot in it.

Sea: I say cross the boarder! show people that equality reigns supreme! make a new friend in the rival town store while playing Mario Kart, win the beatle, and drive around BOTH towns with your new friend spreading cheer and joy throughout home towns!

A friend and I are going early morning to the Nottingham one, and we'll spend all day (within open time) trying to get the best time (Terms & Conditions says you can).

Is anyone else going to Nottingham? We could have a little get-together. Perhaps MKDS while waiting in the queue for MKWii.

I came second in Nottingham with a time of 1.34.09 (the winner, a really creepy person, had 1.33.54). If he can't make it to the finals for some reason, I still might be in!

Of more note: I had creepy fan club of boys. They found my previous comment here, looked up my details, and then made loads of posters and things with my picture on. It was scary: I walked into GAME, stood round for a while, and then my friend sees my picture up on the Wii stand. It was weird.

Oh: all races were held on Luigi Circuit at 100cc; only Wii wheels were allowed (under the more recent and higher authority of Nintendo).
I won the first game. Possibly the first 'general public' MKWii game in the world. I also beat our finalist in one race, but didn't get a better time.

Woah - great going Ace Jon! What does the game play like? Is the Wii Wheel control good, or bad? I take it by your time, it's not as bad as some reports are saying!

I can't be bothered to write all this again, so check it out. I can answer specific questions too (remember I only played one track on one cc on multiplayer mode, though).
