Simultaneous Two-Day Nintendo Events Planned for October 2-3

Earlier this week, we told you about a rumored Nintendo press event set to take place in Japan on October 2. We were (partly) right. Nintendo of Japan has confirmed to MCV that an event is taking place in Japan on October 2, but that "it's contents and announcements are still being planned." Excited? That's not all.
Gaming outlets in America have begun to receive invitations to a two-day media summit in San Francisco, which will take place from October 2 and October 3. Yes, two simultaneous events in Japan in America. And yes, a two-day summit. That means megaton, right?
I hate to do this again (I can basically copy/paste my E3 predictions), but here's what I'm hoping for from this conference: news on Disaster: Day of Crisis + an American release date, a Wii storage solution that makes sense, a (possible) DS redesign, the much-anticipated Kid Icarus announcement, and an announcement for the next Zelda Wii game. But um, an update on Cammie's wrist sounds nice as well...

It's no secret that nintendo has been trying to get Japanese wiis connected to the internet in japan, thevye partnered with Internet service providers, recently released that wifi adapter, sent tons of marketing material to stores and registered wii owners on how to connect, have short commercials and news segments on how to do it, etc.. On top of that, they have the data from those who are connected and use the nintendo channel to evaluate the state ofwhat is talking up space, game saves, picures, or downloaded content. Finally, they said storage is only an issue for the hardcore fans or users and have poopoo'd the use of hard drives because of quality control and cost.
They seem to have stopped talking about USB flash drives (probably because of piracy fears). So I think nintendo is going to offer online storage with all of the above taken into consideration. I don't love the idea; but it makes sense given the details through the past 2 years. The hardcore fans are already online and if your wii is filling up, it means you've prolly been downloading. If it's pics - well, get them on your computer or buy more sd... :/

i'd crap a rainbow if they made a new F-Zero
im hoping the new DS gets detailed soon, but still think it'll be released around Easter.
since Wii Sports 2 and Animal Crossing are all im looking forward to on Wii the next few months, it would be nice to see a third (Non Nintendo) must own, for me, and the rest of the world. Like ... Monster Hunter is for PSP in Japan (and soon here for Nintendo). Wii needs that kind of appealing 3rd party game on here, but Americans have shown they don't care much about Monster Hunter. Please change you mind America. It's a great series.

Thats a ridiculous idea its worst than a harddrive .
The only thing thats better than a harddrive where most of the storage get unused is SD cards .

I wish nintendo in the latter adds the gameboycolor and GBA on the Wiishop channel.
