NMS 2008 Updates: North American Conference

New information is rather sparse from this conference, but there are some juicy bits (which I've bolded). Check out the rest of the information after the break.

  • DSi will not hit North America until "well into 2009"
  • Wii Speak Channel coming on November 16 - talk to up to four groups of people
  • Club Nintendo will expand to America, and will debut before the end of the year

  • Reggie says this event is all about core, classic, expanded audience, and Wii
  • DSi Shop bringing two redesigned Brain Age titles
  • two cameras confirmed
  • Real-time imaging software
  • Store songs on SD card, AAC format only
  • Record voice through mic
  • All photo/music software is pre-loaded
  • Louder speakers
  • Browser for DSi is redesigned Opera
  • DSi will not hit North America until "well into 2009"
  • Purchase/download WiiWare/VC games directly to SD cards. Transfer process will be "ramatically easier"
  • More Wii and DS units than usual will be on the market this holiday season
  • Information/footage of multiple Wii games: Punch-Out!!, Call of Duty: World at War, MadWorld, Dead Rising: Chop til You Drop, The Conduit, Wii Music, Animal Crossing, Wii Fit, Rayman Raving Rabids: TV Party, and Sin & Punishment 2 are all showcased here
  • DS titles showcased: Personal Trainer: Cooking, Rythym Heaven, new Age of Empires, Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragons, Pokemon Ranger 2, Henry Hatsworth, Mario & Luigi RPG 3 are all showcased here

AAC only with the DSI so meaning currently the most plopler compresin audio format to be used with the DSI .
Still Nintendo should have done a successor instead of a pointless DS remake which im not going to buy in a hurry .
