Harmonix and MTV announced today the release date for the much anticipated Beatles game. The now-dubbed "The Beatles: Rock Band" will hit shelves on September 9th, 2009.Although no further details on the actual gameplay or specific soundtrack, the game is said to cover The Beatle's entire career. Of course, there will also be special edition guitars, modeled after the ones played by Liverpool's Quartet.
As you might have already expected, the game will not be cheap. It will go at retail for US$60 if you buy just the game, US$99 for the guitars, and $250 for the premium bundle (although the game will be compatible with existing Rock Band peripherals).
BTW: Did you also notice the inverted 666 thing on the date? Since I'm not a fan of The Beatles and even less of Rock Band, I did

It's not compatible with a GHIII controller, though, is it?

As more info becomes available, I'm sure this table will be updated to include the new games.
