Heavy Week

And we start off the week with some heavy releases. Today, two GameCube-to-Wii ports (with 'improved' controls) are launched in the US: "Pikmin" and "Mario Power Tennis". Tomorrow, however, the cutesy fun will be overshadowed by the black and white gore galore that is MadWorld.

Although the rest of the releases are interesting (Trivial Pursuit, MySims Party, Marble Saga: Kororimpa...), I doubt they will cause half the hype and excitement as the main three titles.

While I'm most definitively going to get MadWorld as soon as I can (it usually launches a couple of days later in this country), I'm a little tempted to get Pikmin, having never played any of the original games. But will you? Are you going to get any of these games? I'm especially curious as to whether people who already own the GameCube versions of the New Play! Control series are going to pay for the remakes...

i aint buying none of them i have pikmin and power tenis for the gamecube and i wont buy the wii versions cus its pointless its just new controls and a higher price and i own them

I'm going to buy Pikmin just because I am insanely obsessed with the game and would love to see what they've done with the controls. I would however like to see a Pikmin 3 sometime in the future.

According to Nintendo, you will... at least that's what Shiggy said when asked if the New Pikmin he hinted at at E3 was the GameCube remake; I don't remember his exact words but I do remember him saying that a built-for-Wii new Pikmin was already in the works.

I would at least try Pikmin for the Wii as I didn't much care for the controls on the Gamecube version. The way the game was set up it was dying for a mouse or some other pointing device.

MAN those are awesome Pikmin costumes. Uh yeeeah they're just the best ever! I.. sure wish I could hang out with those guys! Whoever they are I love and worships them.
...especially the blue one.

Mad World looks freakin sweet.
Though I dunno about games that I already have. It's a good ide for those who haven't yet enjoyed them.
Though Pikmin is so awesome I just might have to enjoy it again. And I agree, Khadgar, Pikmin was made for pointing-type controls.

i think its great that theyre rereleasing pikmin w/ different controls but i have an idea: WHY DON'T I JUST PLAY THE GAMECUBE ONE WITH THE CONTROLS I'M USED TO?
