Puyo Puyo 7 Announced

Allright, just so we can be clear, I'm not sure if this is an April's Fool joke or not. According to a lot of postings and scans out there, Sega has announced in the latest Famitsu that it will be releasing Puyo Puyo 7 in Japan. The falling-objects-and-matching-colors puzzle game will see the light on Wii, DS/DSi, and PSP.

The DS version, reports say, will come out by the end of July, while the other two consoles will have to wait until the end of the year. As for an overseas version of the game, no official announcement has been made.

Now, the thing that keeps me wondering if it's a joke or not, is that IGN claims that THIS is the overly teased "Project Ringo" from Sega. They say the number "247" is a play on the sound of "PUYO PUYO 7".left Now, the official Project Ringo site is still showing the same animation as before and still claims that the game won't be revealed until next Friday (April 3rd). So, who knows? Maybe it is, maybe it's not.
