Hackers: Helping Nintendo
By AntonCaptainSeagull. Sunday, July 19, 2009 7:02:14 PM
Hetoan2, a well-known game hacker (I guess), has cracked the code found in The Conduit that allows hackers to change any values they want in the game; meaning invincibility, infinite ammo, one hit kills, etc. can all be used whenever you want... including online multiplayer.
This is exactly why I LIKE friend codes; none of my buddies do crap like this - Mario Kart Wii blows when you race against the guy with infinite bullet bills! Even Pokemon Battle Revolution is simply unplayable because of GameShark'ed or Action Replay'ed Pokemon messing up your legitimate team. What's scary is how easy he says it was to do it! Well, easy for hackers - a lot of data dumping and code writing really, so it's not like you can just open up the cheat code menu found on every disc. But if any hacker wants to do this crap, he says it's a cake walk. Luckily, when he found out how easy it was, he released the codes for everyone to enjoy... but they were fake.

The codes he released actually brick save files, making them worthless! He has contacted High Voltage and informed them what's going on, even offering ways they can combat the cheaters. Currently they can trace MAC addresses of people cheating, or even those who have the cheat files and are NOT using them. They can send these MAC addresses to Nintendo, and Nintendo can ban them from online play! However, it seems that the Big N really doesn't care about battling cheaters when they are in non-Nintendo games, or lesser played online games.
Lame Nintendo, lame. However, in more popular games, and sometime the occasional "other" game, they do ban users with a 20102 error code, which Hetoan2 says basically bans the user from all WiFi games - TAKE THAT!High Voltage right now can only trace the addresses and report them to Ninty, and hope that Ninty decides to ban these players. High Voltage is hopeful, but it still falls into Nintendos' lap when and if something should be done.

I also saw them cheat sometimes in the Mario Kart Wii Tournaments, no way some one can do 3 laps in .004 seconds
I sent a message to Ninty and they responded that is what friend codes are for, but what if not many of your friends have a Wii and Mario Kart Wii and are Online

Does anybody know if people cheat online in Mario Kart DS? My @$$ was kicked many times by some individuals and all I saw of them was the back of their cart the first seconds of a stage

I know that when I trade pokemon i want to know the pokemon i am getting is legitimate, and not from a hacker, because it feels like no effort was made to get this pokemon.
But some people hack animal crossing and destroy other peoples towns... that sucks big time!
