Black WiiMote and Nunchuck FINALLY Coming to the US

, , , , ,

Although we won't be delighted with Black Wiis or blue remotes, Nintendo of America is giving us a treat: Black Wii Remotes and Nunchucks (alongside matching jackets and Motion Plusses).

NoA has announced that they will be selling a WiiMote + Motion Plus bundle this Holiday season (jacket included), alongside a stand alone nunchuck. According to the press release, this is the first new color for the Wii Remote and accessories, so hopefully that means we'll be seeing more colors in the near future.

They also announced two new colors for the DSi as of September 13th: white and pink. With this, we now have four color choices for Nintendo's new handheld and...one color for the home console. Well, at least we get black remotes.

"They also announced two new colors for the DSi as of September 13th: white and pink".

I think you made a mistake.

I did? Where? I don't see it :S

TomSiskan Tuesday, September 1, 2009 3:12:43 PM

Don't you have white DSi in the US?

SpookSpook81 Tuesday, September 1, 2009 3:23:13 PM

Nope... only Black and Blue thus far.

TomSiskan Tuesday, September 1, 2009 3:29:49 PM

Ops, OK. Sorry.

SpookSpook81 Tuesday, September 1, 2009 3:34:47 PM

Don't be! As of December, we do have white DSis! bigsmile

The black Wii Remote looks nice even the condom looks better than the one that came with my MotionPlus (which i never use).

But still one question remain .
Why don't i have a black Wii

SpookSpook81 Tuesday, September 1, 2009 11:48:34 PM

You never use the jacket or you never use the MotionPlus? And yeah, I want a black Wii, too (as long as they promise me I won't lose all my data and I won't have to change Friend Codes all over again). I can dream, right?!

AntonCaptainSeagull Wednesday, September 2, 2009 12:10:31 AM

I also never use the jacket! ... and is anyone ready for the bloody Wii Remote? THIS will actually be an easy to make skin and an easy "how to" to make for everyone!

SpookSpook81 Wednesday, September 2, 2009 6:05:39 AM

Ooooh, bloody WiiMote!! Yeaaaah!!! (BTW, I'm still trying to get my DS to look bloody p)

Pikachu Electronkawaiipikachu Wednesday, September 2, 2009 11:39:53 PM

@Spook
I ment the jacket that i never use obviously i go condom-less

SpookSpook81 Thursday, September 3, 2009 5:06:46 AM

Can you take the jacket off the MotionPlus? O_o I thought they came tightly attached (I tried, not too hard, to take mine out and since I felt it wasn't easy and was afraid to break my new toy, I didn't continue)

Pikachu Electronkawaiipikachu Thursday, September 3, 2009 10:32:19 PM

Dont worry spook you wont break it in fact the instructructions come with details on how to remove the motion plus from the condom & how to reinsert it .

In the end the motion plus is totally removable .

SpookSpook81 Thursday, September 3, 2009 10:42:58 PM

Oh, riiiight! The instruction booklet! I guess that if I was going to be FORCED into watching 5 minutes of a made-for-dummies instructional video about how to insert the MotionPlus into my WiiMote after getting Wii Sports Resort, I thought I didn't need to read the very thick, very boring-looking instruction booklet anymore...

Pikachu Electronkawaiipikachu Friday, September 4, 2009 10:50:33 PM

Well the 5 minute video doesn't show you how to remove the motion plus .
The video is because Nintenso is paranoid same with the condoms .

Am I the only one who thinks it offers a nice grip?

SpookSpook81 Saturday, September 5, 2009 3:21:58 PM

No, I also like the Jacket's grip, although it does feel weird at first... The one thing I DO hate is the hazzle it is to remove and put back in; every time I need to change batteries (or recharge them), it's the part I hate ¬.¬
It also gets a little bit on the way when using the WiiMote sideways wink

TomSiskan Saturday, September 5, 2009 9:13:16 PM

Ah. Well you don't have to remove it completely, just fold it a bit, I learned it doesn't take damage from it. smile
And I'd rather use a classic controller, or the Japanese Club Nintendo NES contoller replica.

SpookSpook81 Saturday, September 5, 2009 9:19:46 PM

Not with my charger sad With this one I have to remove the jacket AND even the strap!! Otherwise the lead contacts well, just don't make good contact! Hehehe... so you can imagine the 'pain' it is to recharge... thank God it's only about once a week... p

Pikachu Electronkawaiipikachu Saturday, September 5, 2009 11:59:10 PM

@Spook
Even removing the strap.
At least im using standard NI-MH's with my Wii .
When they go flat i just pop them out charge them & pop 2 spare to use .
Far better including the fact than a Wii Remote charging stand setup .
those battery packs uses AAA size batterys which has a maximum of 900mAh capacity so those battery packs have the maxim capacity of 1800mAh meanwhile my AA's im using has this 2500mAh capacity so 1 battery has a higher capatity than one of those battery packs .

Another downside: not 'real' power feedback... the on-screen charge indicator is always 'full'! And then, all of a sudden...PUFF! It drops to zero and your WiiMote disconnects...
I used NiMH's too, but then my brother gave me these chargers last Christmas... and they are cool, but do add a few drawbacks to the whole recharging thing...
