Blue 3Dot Special: Update 2.1.0-3U

For those of you who have not yet been made aware, Nintendo has released another system update for the Nintendo 3DS. This update claims to "improve system stability", and also includes a fix for Ridge Racer 3D. Press "Read More" for a transcript of the update notice.

Please note that the transcript also includes a partial transcript of the previous update notice from Nintendo regarding users who have not yet applied the June 6 update.

System Update 2.1.0-3U is now available.

If you currently have update version 2.0.0-2U, this update provides:

  • Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments to enhance user experience.
  • A correction for the screen freeze symptom experienced in the Ridge Racer 3D game.

You can receive automatic updates when a wireless internet connection is available. When the download is complete, you will receive a dialog on the HOME Menu detailing the steps to install the update.

If you have not completed the update released on June 6, version 2.0.0-2U, this update will add the following new features:
  • Nintendo eShop
  • Internet Browser
  • Transfer functionality to move DSiWare™ from Nintendo DSi™/Nintendo DSi XL™ systems to the Nintendo 3DS™ system
  • Automatic system updates
  • Improved stablity and performance of the overall system.
To update the Nintendo 3DS, connect to the Internet then follow the steps below:
  1. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.
  2. Select Other Settings.
  3. Scroll the page right and select System Update.

* Please note that the promotional 3D music video "White Knuckles" by OK Go will automatically be removed with this update.

To celebrate the launch of Nintendo eShop, the 3D Classics: Excitebike™ game is available for free until July 7, 2011.

Why not have it set the clock via the Internet...

The Wii could use its online time in the off time to set the clock in the early morning hours

Hmm the DSi got a an update in mid May, and there was no talk about it

most of the dsi updates didn't really do much exept the shop one and the camera facebook one. zip
