Majoras Mask 3DS: Possible

Hot dog! Zelda Informer got a hold of the August issue of Nintendo Powerthat holds an interview with Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. He talks about Skyward Sword stuff obviously but also talks a bit about handheld games, and how if there is enough demand for it, Majoras Mask could be possible:

Certainly in making the DS titles as handheld Zeldas, one of the goals has always been to make something you can play in little bits and pieces so that you have a little fun, put it away, and do something else, and come back to it... But Ocarina of Time is a fully fledged, previously console Zelda that is now portable. [...] The ability to deliver that kind of experience is now available for handhelds as well; it's not just in the domain of consoles anymore. [...] One of the big things that we made this remake possible was that there was an outpour of emotions from people who said they would like to see this game done, I think certainly if there was a similar output of emotion and clamor from fans for a remake of Majora's Mask, it wouldn't be an utter impossibility. Thinking on it now, having a handheld Majora's Mask where you could kind of just set things down on your own time - close it, set it aside and come back to it later - might be a game play element some fans will actually take to and might really appreciate.

Ok, so it's time for us as fans to brainstorm! how can we get together and make a big gigantic deal out of this and send the message to Nintendo, that we want this? I say we should we go crazy and flood their Twitter and Facebook pages with requests to make it happen, what are your ideas?

I played this game on N64 for about 5 minutes and never saw it again, I REALLY want to play it through!

I hear it's more of a sleeper hit than anything else. And to me it looks like the creepiest Zelda game, so... I'm in!

Majora's Mask is one of my favorite Zelda. The save system sucks ass, but it is one of the most original Zeldas to date. Definitely worth playing through at least once!
