According to reports from Gamasutra, the new entry into the Resident Evil franchise will kick off the new eShop demo service. While the retail copy will release next month, players can get an early, limited glimpse at the new game.Read more for additional information.
Also being made available tomorrow is a playable demo of Cooking Mama 4. This release starts off the recently announced list of 3DS game demos set to go live within the next month, including titles such as Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure.
Please note: reports are already coming in from Japan that the demos are only playable a set number of times. Hey, Nintendo's new at this. They'll work it out.
Revelations follows Jill Valentine. Set during Resident Evil 4 and 5, Jill and her new partner Parker are on a search for Chris Redfield, primarily on an abandoned cruise ship. This new setting provides new danger, such as never-before-seen underwater combat and enemies. Also featuring new touch screen mechanics, the ability to swap between first and third person viewpoints, and enhanced gameplay with the Circle Pad Pro, Revelations looks to be the hardcore game that puts the 3DS back on the map.
Resident Evil: Revelations will be released on February 7th, 2012.
