Blue Liight Special: Wii Menu 4.1

, ,

If you have WiiConnect24 enabled on your Wii, then you should have a blue light gleaming from the Wii disc slot. It's a simple update that claims to fix some stability issues; namely it fixes a bug that forces the user to watch the MotionPlus demo video every time Wii Sports Resort is played. As always, this update claims to fight hacked game saves, but in our tests, both the Homebrew Channel and Bannerbomb still work on 4.1. If you choose not to update, you may at some point be forced to anyway, as Nintendo likes to put these on software discs sometimes, meaning you won't be able to play until you update the software. This Wii Menu 4.1 update is for North America, and is already available in Japan.

Lol at the blue light special , the blue light came on for me just before I went to bed. I have sent the an email to maybe add a setting to disable the blue light at certain times

This one lighted up last night, before I went to bed... still haven't updated it, though... And come on! The light isn't that bright!!! Unless you sleep with your Wii right in front of your face P: (You don't sleep with your Wii on the next pillow, do you? ¬.¬)

BTW: This update, in Japan at least, was supposed to fix an issue with Sports Resort...maybe they're anticipating for it here?
