Cooking Mama Challenge!

, , , ,

Some of you may have noticed that I like to make treats--but more specifically, treats that have that special Nintendo feel about them! So, it was no question that I felt like breaking out the cooking supplies once again when Cooking Mama: Cookoff for the Wii came out! Then I got to thinking that I'd really love to see what other people out there are making and baking--and so, I thought I'd present you with a Cooking Mama Challenge! The rules are simple and the prizes are fabulous!

 1. First, you must be a member of the N+ Community! And if you aren't already...then you should definitely *join!*
 2. Entrants will showcase their ultimate Nintendo-themed dishes. It can be anything from 1-UP Cupcakes to a bowl of pasta with Goomba meatballs!
 3. Once you have concocted your creation, snap a picture of it and stick it in your personal photo album! If you have joined N+, then you should have your own blog and photo album. Post your picture in your album and send me the link. I will put your picture in the Cooking Mama Challenge Album for all to see! (also, when you take your picture, if you could maybe put a little nametag or something with your username showing in the photo, that'd be great! That way we know it's a genuine creation!)
 4. Contest ends April 21st. At that point, the N+ Moderators will judge the five tastiest creations and then let the community vote on the best one! If there are *sadly* less than 5 entires, moderators will be eligible to win and I will just open up the polls to everyone!

The PRIZES!
 • A *custom-made* Cooking Mama apron handcrafted by me, Beeks!
 • A featured post on the N+ blog that showcases your fabulous dish!

I realize that there is a similar event in the works--one that I didn't even know about until after I finished making my Cooking Mama apron! Even so, I thought it would be great to keep this contest going; after all, the other Cooking Mama challenge is for those lucky enough to live in New York, whereas THIS contest is open to everybody! So happy cooking, and good luck!

Espen André ØverdahlEspenAO Friday, March 23, 2007 4:37:06 PM

That apron is sweet. Seriously, how do you people find the time or the creativity to make these things? I'm jealous.

I'm entering anyway regardless of prizes. I have dibs on making Morph Ball donut holes.

if u really want to put the recipies together, i have all the materials, costs, layout designs, etc. sitting right here next to me.

LET ME KNOW for sure, as the last mailing i got from the company, said that they were offering a 50% discount on the making of the cookbook if submitted b4 mother's day (May 13th) (also, without looking at the book, right at this present moment, i can't be EXACT as to the cut off date or pricing, so to b on the safe side, i will leave this as i have it posted, but with a note stating that i am NOT TOTALLY POSITIVE on the cost. I will edit the post when i re-read the letter and let u know the exact % off), and as i have all the materials right here, cost would also be cut by posting it ON LINE for another deduction in the price.

so plz, by all means, either PM me or email me at SqueakeyCat@charter.net w/subject of RECIPE BOOK, or just post on here, either way, there is 3 ways to get ahold of me. if u want to see ne of the information that i have, i can scan it onto my computer, and put it into a photo album on my pages here.

and, we can also open that up as well, to ALL of Opera, whether the person works for Opera or not, and, the more that we order, the cheaper the price is as well.

Sounds like fun, but the game hasn't been released in Denmark! confused

seaempty Saturday, March 24, 2007 10:42:26 AM

It won't be released in the EU for a while, PV - I don't believe they've specified a release date yet.

BeckyBeeks Saturday, March 24, 2007 1:00:20 PM

But that's OK! You don't necessarily need the game to participate in the contest!! In fact, for you, it's like...building anticipation for the Denmark release!!

BeckyBeeks Sunday, March 25, 2007 5:43:35 PM

Oooh, yes, do! I'm so excited to see what people start making!!
PS--if anyone has ANY questions, I am going to start a new thread in the forums (under General Discussion) for Cooking Mama Challenge questions!

I know this is fairly old but you were wrong to think only one person or company had a contest like this before you did. I in fact had several (30+) Nintendo themed recipes on the Nintendo forum until they shut it down like the idiots they are. They never once got involved and never showed attention to those recipes despite them being creative and tasty. Nintendo is a terrible company when it comes to customer rapport so don't give them any extra effort or ideas. I hope the winner came up with something tasty and keeps the big wigs at Nintendo away from your recipes because mark my word they WILL abuse you.

Geoff GirardinG-off Wednesday, December 12, 2007 6:53:26 PM

People who work at Nintendo never went to the Nintendo boards, and the 'NOA's that went on there were hired to use the boards. Don't blame them.
