The update gives you the ability to use colored pens in your drawings now, but only one color at a time. Really, that's how it works, not even a black drawing can have color with it. You switch your palette using the left and right sides of the D-Pad, which doesn't change just your pen color, but also any ink you have already laid down on the canvas.
Version 4.3.0-10U available via wireless internet connection includes the following improvements:
Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.
it's called "#NoAnimalCrossing"...
The patch is for all major regions and is free to download from the eshop channel. The patch is optional, but if you want to play online then you MUST have the patch (local multi-player and single-player works without the patch).
This is awesome news, so what are you waiting for? download the patch and join us in the N+ Mario Kart 7 Community!
The 3DS system is official now, and can be found on the Nintendo 3DS website. I wont be getting this, because I have the Fatal Frame IV one already, but dang, why do they got to wait to add more colors waaaaay down the road?
You can pick this puppy up May 20th.
I wish it let you create icons or at least pic colors for the folder, but simply having a folder with a custom name really is more than I could have hoped for. Creating specific folders is great for keeping lets say all of your GBA games together or NES titles. Maybe you just want to have a folder for videos or demos, that's cool too!
I can't wait to hear when it will come out in other regions, and if it has the same name.
Reggie decided to crash your party because it's been one year since the 3DS has been on sale, and he brings to you all kinds of puzzle pieces for you to choose from! even pink ones! Just don't do like me, I got so excited I instantly imported him into my Mii Maker, and in doing that I waved good-bye to those puzzles, and the ability to use him in Find Mii 2!
Here is Reggie meeting ZombiAnton for the first time! Anyone else snap a picture? did you get any cool pieces? did you screw up like me?
Not only are they 'holding' a May 25th release date, there also appears to be a Smash Brothers 3DS box in the Gamestop picture as well, with a release-year of 2012. The work on Kid Icarus JUST finished, giving the studio very very little time to prepare the Smash title for this year. So remember it's all rumors still.

Metroid Prime Hunters was an absolutely stellar title for the original DS. Early into its life when developers hadn't quite learned how to utilize the full potential of the system, NST pumped out this blockbuster first person shooter/exploration title rivaling it's console counterparts. Hunters contained what was, in my opinion, the greatest multiplayer experience on a portable system to date with a wealth of modes, characters, and an ungodly number of stages ranging from claustrophobic close range corridors to enormous space stations with low gravity allowing for heated midair gunfights. In high school, this game got me and my friends many many days of detention.
Pardon me gushing, but it's hard not to be excited knowing the potential of this developer considering the gem they last created. Granted, there is absolutely no evidence that their alleged upcoming project is going to be a Metroid title, but evidence proves that if were to be that the developers know how to handle the franchise. Also remember the previously mentioned 2D side scrolling Metroid game that was supposed to be for DS but was allegedly cancelled, Metroid Dread. Though reported to be cancelled, there was a reference to the game in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption that raised enormous speculation when it hinted that the game still had a flicker of life left in it.
There's many reasons to be excited despite the speculation. Let the euphoria of this rumor make you reflect on the series and gain enthusiasm for future Metroid titles.
When I approached Ed and Anton about contributing to the blog, I hadn't the slightest idea that I would be carrying the responsibility of doodling up a banner for Kid Icarus: Uprising. Tensions were high and my nerves were going crazy as I tried to come up with an idea for the ressurection of this classic NES franchise. It's been over 25 years since Pit had a starring role in his own game; 25 years laying dormant, which is no place for a beloved Nintendo character.
I let the star speak for himself. Pit's adventure this time around has adopted the same character design as that of Smash Bros Brawl on Wii. No longer the toga wearing ginger he was in the original Kid Icarus, Pit has been redesigned from head to toe. I wanted to keep the picture simple and centered on the man himself. For 12 years I've been drawing with pencil alone, but I had to go a different direction if I'm going to be contributing to this blog. With a total of 3 weeks of Photoshop experience under my belt, I wasn't able to get too terribly crazy with it considering the limited knowledge I have of the program so far, but I am still happy to say that I gave it my all for this blockbuster title's launch. I hope I have done justice to this video game icon and hope that I can continue to bring more to the table for this blog and the company to which it is dedicated. Andriasang reports that Nintendo plans to "revive other publisher's titles on the 3DS as part of a strategy to bring new strong titles to the system", and the one title mentioned specifically as an idea is the Sega Dreamcast cult-classic: Seaman. I have been saying since the original DS came out that Seamasn needs to be ported or sequelled for the system, and now it looks like it just might, remember it might, this isn't an official announcment for a release.
Seaman is a game where you start by raising tadpoles into man-faced-fish creatures day by day. It takes place in a real-time clock like Animal Crossing games, but is more of a pet simulation game... narrated by Spock (Leonard Nimoy). During the course of 'gameplay' you will teach your Seaman to speak by talking to him in real life, and answering questions that he has, because he actually learns from you. You also have to keep the tank water temperature to a comfortable setting or they may die, also you need to clean the tank. You really treat Seaman like a fish in a fish tank day by day, but you also will grow as friends who understand each other more and more as you talk. Seaman can be picked up out of the water, but he doesn't like it, and he will show his disgust if you say the wrong things to him.
Having a touch screen, and a microphone, and two screens (at one point you grow moths in a second tank as food) is actually what the game was designed for, only the designers didn't know it yet. Now the crazy dream may be a reality. Since Nintendo plans to visit other titles as well, what games do you think they should bring to the 3DS?
