N +

This month we celebrate the start of spring by coating N+ in a hefty layer of Animal Crossing! It's a great time to visit your villages in Animal Crossing because a bunch of new fish and bugs are roaming around now! Also the snow has been gone for a little bit. As you can see, here our animal crosser boy is pretty intense with his bug collecting, I made sure to include perfect detail of a "yellow butterfly". I thought it would be cool to use the bees for such an intense battle, but it's funnier if he uses just as much energy to catch the easiest bug in the game

Anyway you can see I used the official Nintendo design character for Wild World. For a sweet wallpaper version of this months' header check it here, and don't forget to 'zoom'.

Hey everyone, it was great year at N+, we had a lot of fun, a lot of games, a lot of news, and a TON of members come our way this year.

Here's looking toward 2009 with higher hopes, maybe N+ can continue to grow and get more featurific! As per usual New Year's wouldn't be complete without Animal Crossing somehow making a big deal about it, so if you have Animal Crossing on the DS or Wii, get in there and visit Tortimer! Tomorrow (Dec 13th) N+ will be hosting a fishing tournament for ANY type of fish. Everyone get your tackle boxes ready! We want to see who can catch the biggest fish in this tournament.

Rules:

• No Time Traveling!
  
• Only fish caught on tourney day! No pocket fish or house fish.
  
• Pictures must be of the moment when Chip describes who's winning - for some reason you can't save photos of him telling you won Just make it look like this photo.
  

Thats pretty much it, and obviously this is going off the honor system, as there is no way anyone can tell if you kept that Tuna in the house for weeks. There are no prizes except the winner gets to be the winner The easiest way to share is to leave links to photos in your own gallery as a comment! Just press 1 on the Wii Remote after you break records with Chip and then save the photo to an SD card and upload it to your My Opera photo gallery. If you wanna see my gallery check it out!

From here on out I am going to call the game "Animal Crossing:Wii" because of the different names the game has across regions - But to the point, a few of us have been running into a few photo limitations within the games snapshot feature. When I first ran into it it made me think my SD card was broken or something. DON'T PANIC if you get this message when trying to save a photo to your SD Card:
There is no SD Card in the Wii. Please insert an SD Card into the Wii and try again.
For some reason certain photos cannot be saved, who knows why.

Some useful tips with photographs:

• You CAN photograph and save your friend code screen!
  
• Using the Photo Channel on the Wii you can view all the photos saved to the SD Card from AC and send them to the Wii message board, color on them and all that - no need to mail them from town hall! Try this with a photo of your friend code, and send it to your Wii buddies!

Animal Crossing Wii, as a matter of fact is STILL freaking me out with anticipation. A lot of you, mostly kids, were pissed about what Nintendo showed at E3 on this game. This series is one of the best to keep to its original nature, and not wander too far off, because then it becomes something different entirely, and different is sometimes good, but not always. The sweet stuff that vanished from the DS version is back, like holidays, and animals doing other things than walking when outside are back. The new voice chat thing which is sweet, and a couple new newsifiers, like how the city area will show people you have registered as Wii friends when they are online, downloadable content that DOESN'T cost real money, screenshots from game to Wiiboard or Email, USB keyboard functionality for writing letters, Mii masks, and the new juicy-tasty part about the DS/Wii connectivity:

You can move the characters from Wild World into the Wii game (not sure about items/bells/clothes)
You can also move your travel data to the DS (Hmmm... what does this mean?)

Sounds good right? Right!? Awesome! The one downside is that the new microphone will NOT be packaged with the game, it will launch on the same day for $30.USD though. $30!? Still though, I am so busy thinking of my new town name I forget to tie my shoes sometimes
