Oh man. I can feel it. The mural's completion is at hand. Just one or two more days! I've updated the photoalbum with more pictures to view and comment on! No, seriously! The total time worked on this project over a span of 11 visits is a little more than 65 hours--and it's still not done. It's been a lot of work, and also a lot of fun--this Super Smash Bros.BrawlWall Mural.
The roster of the mural is Luigi, Sonic, Yoshi, Pikachu, Samus, Mario, Olimar, Kirby, Toon Link, Mr. Game & Watch, Meta Knight, Wario, Pit, and Charizard--all lunging towards a Smash Ball in the top center of the wall. And yes, before I took the job I made it clear that Wario had to be on the wall.

Yes. An update! This awesome mural album chronicles my progress on a Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wall Mural! Again, this update could have come sooner if I had actually owned a camera. The newest updates feature day 7 and day 8, where Samus is finally completed after 3 days of work, Toon Link, Mr. Game & Watch, Meta Knight, and Wario all join the brawl! Check out the album, make some comments, or critiques!
The final roster of the mural will be Luigi, Sonic, Yoshi, Pikachu, Samus, Mario, Olimar, Kirby, Toon Link, Mr. Game & Watch, Meta Knight, Wario, Pit, and Charizard--all lunging towards a Smash Ball in the top center of the wall. And yes, before I took the job I made it clear that Wario had to be on the wall.

The MK has been busy. I apologize--it's been a mixture of work, school, awesome games (everyone needs to get Okami right now), and a new project! I've been commissioned by a super-awesome customer friend from my store to paint a Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wall Mural. Having never really painted before, I still said YES because it's a bitchin' idea for a mural. I posted an album with the project's progress so far--though it starts on the beginning and end of Day 6. Could've been earlier if I actually owned a camera.
Day 1 started with Sonic and Luigi. The next day Yoshi and Pikachu joined the brawl--but I didn't finish their shading. Day 3, Yoshi and Pikachu were finished up, Luigi was finally given sideburns and feet, and I started on Mario, Kirby, and Olimar. Day 4 was dedicating to fixing issues with other characters, and spending hours cursing out Kirby. Day 5 resulted in Olimar and Mario's completion and the beginning of Samus, the train-wreck. The rest, my friends, is in the album! Take a look! Make comments!
The final roster of the mural will be Luigi, Sonic, Yoshi, Pikachu, Samus, Mario, Olimar, Kirby, Toon Link, Captain Falcon, Meta Knight, Wario, Pit, and Charizard--all lunging towards a Smash Ball in the top center of the wall. And yes, before I took a job I made it clear that Wario had to be on the wall.

Last week we wanted to know which WiiWare launch title interested you the most, and the clear winner (with 43% of the vote) was Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King. Next, with 29%, was Pokémon Ranch, and third was Dr. Mario, with 24% of the vote. Spare a thought for poor old Mojipittan, who didn't get a single vote

According to sales figures from Nintendo, Super Smash Bros. Brawl sold a whopping 1.4 million copies in its first week on store shelves, making it the fastest selling video game in NOA's history. That means that 120 copies of Brawl have been sold per minute.
I can't believe Nintendo is still using the Wii Would Like to Play slogan to advertise their games. Stick with what works I guess.
Three supposed commercials for Super Smash Bros. Brawl have appeared on YouTube. Two of them look somewhat real, and one just looks unbelievably fake. One of the commercials is posted here, and the two others are posted after the break.
Brawl Central, the site that Nplusser Jayvee1473 brought us a little ways back, has an interesting article accompanied by magazine scans and translations that may or may not prove that Ness, Marth, and Roy are NOT in Smash Bros Brawl! "Read More" for the pictures and transcribed text they offered. Also read on why I DON'T believe this is "hard-proof" of them being cut from the team...
Let's take a break from the past and look into the future. Grab your crystal ball because today, N+ is going to tell you what 1st party Wii game we're most looking forward to in 2008. There are several great ones coming, so this was a tough choice.
The nominees are: Mario Kart Wii Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wii Fit
Nintendo sent out a press release today, detailing what games they will have playable at this year's E For All conference. Galaxy and Brawl top the list, along with several other AAA titles.
The release states out by saying 'You might want to get in line for Nintendo's booth at the E for All Expo now.' How about 'You might want to get LutherJW a plane ticket now.' No takers? Ah well, I hope those attending have a great time!
Check after the break for the full list of playable Nintendo games.
After the Fire Emblem news of the past few days, the Smash Bros. Dojo has some BIG news! Introducing, Adventure Mode! Labeled as a complete side scrolling adventure, this mode is huge. The story, while still there, is not too lengthy, so rest assured, there is just as much fighting and smashing opponents as ever. Over at the Dojo Page, it is mentioned that we will see alot of character development in this mode, that we get to see the characters under the pressure of their own individual burdens. This is going to be a fun mode, I can tell already. Can't wait! Also, in somewhat other news, Eiji Aonuma let it slip in an interview to Game Informer that Ganondorf and Sheik are both in Brawl!
Click past the break for alot of screenshots, and a teaser movie.
Another Fire Emblem update today from the Smash Bros. Dojo. Remember the castle from all the teaser videos? Well it has a name now. Castle Seige. It is an enemy castle in the midst of war, but it is no specific castle from any Fire Emblem game. I find it sad that they went the generic route with this one. While it is very visually impressive, I would have much rathered to fight at the Crimean castle.
You start out fighting on a castle wall, but as time passes the scenery changes. You fall through the floor and end up in a hallway. The platforms are being held up by royal statues, which you can actually break to pieces. Think that's the only scenery change? You're wrong. After even more time passes, you will fall into the Underground. No news yet as to what the Underground really is.
From Fire Emblem, Ike makes debut in the World of Smash with a new special move, 'Aether' that is said to be a 'single-stroke finishing blow'. This is significant, as he weilds a twohanded sword. Talk about tremendous power! Everyone already figured that Ike was in Brawl with the success of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. I imagine his look is modeled after the upcoming Fire Emblem game, but to me he looks an awful like his PoR persona. Now I wonder if Roy or Marth will appear....
Smash Brothers Brawl, Ooo I get so excited thinking about the crazy battles that will devour all my free time! How am I supposed to play awesome games this winter when there are awesome games to be played!? seriously! With Smash Bros, Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3, and No More Heroes all fighting for the living room, I don't know if I am going to be able to beat any single one of them before Animal Crossing Wii comes out, and once that hits, I don't think I am ever going to sleep.
Anyway the Official Website has posted it's promised batch of updates, and here we are to gather them up once again. Last time we showed off a small video clippet as well as DK and some other add-ins, This time the news is a little bit "prettier"... "Read More" about this weeks Smash Update...
