I can't believe Nintendo is still using the Wii Would Like to Play slogan to advertise their games. Stick with what works I guess.
Three supposed commercials for Super Smash Bros. Brawl have appeared on YouTube. Two of them look somewhat real, and one just looks unbelievably fake. One of the commercials is posted here, and the two others are posted after the break.
I can only guess that Nintendo is releasing what they call in their official press release the "Greatest Game of All Time" this week in preparation for next week's release of Super Mario Galaxy. But, what are they going to release next week?

22 years ago today Super Mario Bros. was released for the Famicom in Japan.
It made a huge impact on home entertainment when it was released, and is now considered the classic of the medium. Super Mario Bros. featured bright, expansive worlds that changed the way video games were created. Although often wrongly credited as the first scrolling platform game (there are at least a half dozen earlier), it is the first console original in this genre to feature smooth-scrolling levels, which made it a landmark in home video-gaming.
Super Mario Bros. is the best selling video game of all time, and was largely responsible for the initial success of the Nintendo Entertainment System, as well as ending the two year slump of video game sales in the United States after the video game crash of 1983. It has inspired countless imitators and was one of Shigeru Miyamoto's most influential early successes. The game starred the Italian plumber Mario and his brother Luigi. Mario went on to become Nintendo's most well known mascot. The theme music, by Koji Kondo, is recognized worldwide, even by those who have not played the game.
The game was succeeded by a direct sequel in Japan (later retitled Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels outside Japan), and by Super Mario Bros. 2, a slight revision of Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic with playable Mario characters, elsewhere in the world. There is also another sequel called Super Mario Bros. Special released around the same time as the original sequel, but it was released only in Japan by Hudson Soft, so it was relatively obscure. Other release dates for Super Mario Bros. [/IMG]NES
Another Fire Emblem update today from the Smash Bros. Dojo. Remember the castle from all the teaser videos? Well it has a name now. Castle Seige. It is an enemy castle in the midst of war, but it is no specific castle from any Fire Emblem game. I find it sad that they went the generic route with this one. While it is very visually impressive, I would have much rathered to fight at the Crimean castle.
You start out fighting on a castle wall, but as time passes the scenery changes. You fall through the floor and end up in a hallway. The platforms are being held up by royal statues, which you can actually break to pieces. Think that's the only scenery change? You're wrong. After even more time passes, you will fall into the Underground. No news yet as to what the Underground really is.

So Starting Today we can check out the new format, Which will include character menues, Game Modes, Items, and special notices straight from director Masahiro Sakurai himself! - Basically he has a really detailed blog page about Smash Bros going on...
