Limited Edition Black Wii Bundle Coming To Europe

, , , ...

Black Wii is in Japan, now Black Wii will be in Europe. Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing a Black Wii Bundle across Europe this month.

The bundle will be available as a Limited Edition pack including a Wii, WiiMote, MotionPlus, and Nunchuck (all in luscious black), and of course, Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort. The bundle will be available in the UK and Ireland on November 6th, while the rest of Europe will have to wait until November 20th to get their anxious hands on the shiny, new console.

Of course, separate versions of each accessory will be available in black, including the Classic Controller Pro in the same dates across Europe. No pricing details have been given out yet, though.

Rumor: New DSi Colors for Europe

, , , ...

Rejoice, Europe! You're getting shiny, new colors for your DSi! If the rumors are true, of course... According to reports from a Nintendo distributor, three new colors will be available for DSi shoppers by the end of October (on the 23rd to be exact if the report is accurate). Now Euro gamers will have blue, navy, and red on their DSi to choose from.

While the fact that around this time Sony will be releasing the PSPgo and would make it look as a move for Nintendo to boost DSi sales and beat the PSPgo, reports that the aforementioned handheld is dead before it even arrives (retailers refusing to stock Sony's new mini-wonder, pre-orders not even being touched, distributors refusing to give publicity, mixed reviews, and insanely high pricing) make it look as if this was not the true reason why the colors would be released.

Bear in mind that Nintendo has NOT made an official announcement yet, so take this as is: RUMOR.

Connection Ambassador Program Launches in Europe

, , ,

You heard about it in Japan and were jelaous (and kind of amazed that so many Japs were still enjoying their Wiis offline). Now us Americans can be jealous of Europeans, too: they just got the Connection Ambassador Program going. What's that, you ask? Simple! If you help offline Wiis get online, you get 500 Wii points. Yup. That easily. But that's not all! There's more.

You do get 500 Wii points for each Wii user you help get online (provided they were never online to begin with). But if you manage to get 10 of those online, then you achieve 'gold status', and suddenly, ALL Nintendo-released NES titles for the Virtual Console are unlocked to you. BUUUUT if you get 20 people online, you achieve 'platinum status' and guess what? ALL of Nintendo's VC catalogue becomes available, free of charge... that's all Nintendo NES, SNES AND N64 games, for free!! Pretty cool, huh? Let's just wait this program ever crosses the great divide.

GhostBusters Release Busted Again (Europe)

, , ,

It had been a while since the GhostBusters game drama took a spot in the news. Not anymore. Way back when the game was about to get released, Atari and Sony announced a very dodgy deal that, first, seemed to bound GhostBusters in the PAL region to the PS2 and PS3 exclusively; later, it was revealed that it would only delay other consoles' release. Well, that release has been pushed back...again.

The game was supposed to be released for the XBox 360, PC, Wii, and DS in Europe by October, but suddenly and without any explanation whatsoever, such date has been pushed back to November 6th. That's it. Wanna bust some ghosts, Euro-non-Sony gamers? Well, hold your breaths a little longer...

Rockband II: Euro Release Date

, , , ...

Just a quick post to let you know that Rockband II is on the way to all three consoles, including Wii. Rockband II will launch for Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 27, while the Wii version is set for the 24th of April. This is for the European territories, just in-case you forgot to read the post title  Anyone excited for this? Personally this is a game that can ONLY be fully enjoyed in an actual house, apartment dwellers are out. You can't just mumble past the Beastie Boys and be happy, you gotta shout "Sabatoge" as loud as you can while rockbanding, and then thats only good while your buddies are rocking the world away on guitars and drums and stuff. Anyone getting bored or saturated by all this guitar hero/rockband music game stuff? I am, but some mystical part of me still wants the Beatles music game when it's ready, from what we hear so far its 100% Beatles music, they can always change that, but lets hope not. Anyone get angry when you hear a song in public and some kid talks about how he heard the song from Rockband, and now he's a fan because of it? - it rips me up. Read more for the offcial press-release...

Madworld Preorder Bonus

, , , ...

All of the music for MadWorld (yes, the awesome hip-hop type stuff found in the trailer) is so exclusive to the game that it was made just for the game, so these tracks are not something you can download or buy at Amazon... yet. In Europe and Australia, this soundtrack is going to be a pre-order bonus! I guess these territories that usually get shafted are getting the goodies lately.

Anyone pre-ordering this game and NOT interested in the OST? Care to ship it to your Americano Captain?

Here is a sample video of the soundtrack that the games creators put together and share on their blog:

Let's Tap On The Way to America, Europe

, , , ...

Yesterday, SEGA announced its plans to bring a eccentric Wii game called Let's Tap to the United States and Europe. Created by Sonic creator Yuji Naka, Let's Tap offers a new method of control: tapping. With five mini-games that have you racing through a course or balancing blocks, Let's Tap is controlled entirely by placing the WiiMote down on a flat surface and tapping.

Let's Tap is on track for American and European releases this summer.

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle - We are all pumped. And you should be too (if somehow you curently aren't). We got a bit of info to share with you today. Not much, but a bit about the backstory, and a tiny bit about the development of it, and some confirmation on the "2 different European versions"

Europe will get 2 versions. It is now confirmed that one version will be EXACTLY like the US version, nothing cut out. And the other version will be EXACTLY like the Japanese version, with blood cut out.

[The game takes] place three years after the end of the first title, No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle sees hero Travis Touchdown embark on a mission of revenge following the murder of his best friend. Suda51 and Euro Blood

, , , ...

No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle, even though we have seen nothing but a teaser trailer, is already blowing my mind away! Suda51 + anything = amazing, we already know this. And when that "anything" happens to be a franchise that is already proven to be amazing created by 51 in the first place you just KNOW it will rock the house down.

Anyway the news ... this is important for Europeans... is that Desperate Struggle will have two different versions released in Europe. Mild and Extreme - names probably not included in title anywhere. The Mild version will pretty much be what Europeans remember from NMH, enemies exploding into ash and dropping $LB everywhere. The Extreme version will include blood. Will it be lots of blood? Will it be The crazy blood-fest that North America had the pleasure of swimming through? It hasn't been really "confirmed", but there still might be a few differences between Extreme-Euro and North American versions, check out what Suda51 says:

We won't be able to make the same game for all territories, for Europe, we're going to release two versions. One extreme version, and one with less violence"... With No More Heroes 2 we want to please the fans too. I want the European users to be able to experience the extreme version... When I first had the concept, I had both the bloody version and the milder version in mind, So when I worked on the US version, it wasn't a problem for me to make, but when I made the Japanese version, I needed to rethink it a little bit. But I did both at the same time.

So how-a-bout that? Everyone is happy! Europeans can get blood on their hands and Ace can keep clean! Huzzah!
