Dr. Wario Returns!

, , ,

Our very own "putrid, horrible, and disgusting" Dr. Wario has now returned to N+ after being trapped under a garlic avalanche. Be sure to head own over to our forums and ask Dr. Wario anything you wish... I'm sure he'll have an informative answer.

N+ Review: Wario World (GameCube)

, , , ...

Wario Land: Shake It! I can't stop thinking about it. This has turned me into a Wario fanatic--looking for any game with Wario written on it to satiate my garlic chomping urges. Wario is my main in Super Smash Bros. Brawl (everyone fears DA CLAP), Mario Kart Wii, and all the other Mario spin-offs. But I needed MORE. I've beaten nearly every WarioWare to 100%--it's still not enough. Then lo and behold, sitting on the shelves of my local Video Entertainment Facility, Wario World for the Nintendo Gamecube called out to me. It said, "HAVE A ROTTEN DAY, Nyah-HEH-HEH!"

I had to have this game.

"Gamekeep! How much of your Earth moneys will it take to acquire this game?!" Alas! The Wario World was a rental copy. In denial, I threw a wad of money at the guy's face and ran off with the game. I later had to return to get the security lock removed. When the game came out in 2003, I was a bit hesitant because all of the reviewers trashed it for being so short. Fifty bucks for what was exaggerated to be a five hour game doesn't seem like my cup of tea. Because it's a video game and not a cup of tea--Short story long: I passed. Well, now that Wario World generally retails for 14.99 at most used game emporiums, shortness is no longer an issue. So, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a review on Wario World. Click past the break to give it a read. Otherwise, you can "Get outta here, you losars! Nyeaaagh!"

It's ALMOST Ready! - Super Smash Bros. Wall Update

, , , ...

Oh man. I can feel it. The mural's completion is at hand. Just one or two more days! I've updated the photo album with more pictures to view and comment on! No, seriously! The total time worked on this project over a span of 11 visits is a little more than 65 hours--and it's still not done. It's been a lot of work, and also a lot of fun--this Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wall Mural.

The roster of the mural is Luigi, Sonic, Yoshi, Pikachu, Samus, Mario, Olimar, Kirby, Toon Link, Mr. Game & Watch, Meta Knight, Wario, Pit, and Charizard--all lunging towards a Smash Ball in the top center of the wall. And yes, before I took the job I made it clear that Wario had to be on the wall.

Be sure to check back with N+ to see further updates on this time-consuming project.

Super Smash Bros. Wall Update!

Yes. An update! This awesome mural album chronicles my progress on a Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wall Mural! Again, this update could have come sooner if I had actually owned a camera. The newest updates feature day 7 and day 8, where Samus is finally completed after 3 days of work, Toon Link, Mr. Game & Watch, Meta Knight, and Wario all join the brawl! Check out the album, make some comments, or critiques!

The final roster of the mural will be Luigi, Sonic, Yoshi, Pikachu, Samus, Mario, Olimar, Kirby, Toon Link, Mr. Game & Watch, Meta Knight, Wario, Pit, and Charizard--all lunging towards a Smash Ball in the top center of the wall. And yes, before I took the job I made it clear that Wario had to be on the wall.

N+ Review: Okami (Wii)

, , , ...

Okay look everyone. I admit it. I'm a jaded gamer who has the attention span the size of a hey what's that? Because of this, I rarely finish games. Sometimes, I get lost and lose interest. Other times, I'll get right to the end of the game and decide to call it quits. Most of the time, however, a new game comes out and it's shiny. And I get distracted. This is why I prefer arcade-type games where you can beat them in one sitting. I don't have to worry about where I was headed before when I boot up a save. House of the Dead and Virtua Fighter beckon my name. I was raised by Sonic the Hedgehog in his glory days. Power Stone, anyone? Sega and Capcom have always been there for me.

Don't get me wrong, I love adventures. I just don't have the patience/attention span to finish most of them. Of the few I have completed, I've done so because they are particularly amazing. First to strike my mind is Grandia II and everything Shenmue. However, I've never finished a Final Fantasy game. Ever. I haven't even beaten Pokemon Pearl (please don't hurt me, Nintendo Defense Force)! The only reason I quit playing No More Heroes (which is made of badass) was I got hooked to Team Fortress 2. I loved the hell out of Shining Force until I realized how much more Gunstar Heroes I could be playing. Balloon Fight has destroyed any remaining chance of completing anything (special note: Balloon Fight owns). For the most part, I simply can't get into anything that takes me more than 10 hours to complete.

Long-winded introductions aside, I felt it was very necessary to express how hard it is for me to stay focused to stress this very point: Okami is one of the best damn games I have ever played.

Super Smash Bros. Wall

, , , ...

The MK has been busy. I apologize--it's been a mixture of work, school, awesome games (everyone needs to get Okami right now), and a new project! I've been commissioned by a super-awesome customer friend from my store to paint a Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wall Mural. Having never really painted before, I still said YES because it's a bitchin' idea for a mural. I posted an album with the project's progress so far--though it starts on the beginning and end of Day 6. Could've been earlier if I actually owned a camera.

Day 1 started with Sonic and Luigi. The next day Yoshi and Pikachu joined the brawl--but I didn't finish their shading. Day 3, Yoshi and Pikachu were finished up, Luigi was finally given sideburns and feet, and I started on Mario, Kirby, and Olimar. Day 4 was dedicating to fixing issues with other characters, and spending hours cursing out Kirby. Day 5 resulted in Olimar and Mario's completion and the beginning of Samus, the train-wreck. The rest, my friends, is in the album! Take a look! Make comments!

The final roster of the mural will be Luigi, Sonic, Yoshi, Pikachu, Samus, Mario, Olimar, Kirby, Toon Link, Captain Falcon, Meta Knight, Wario, Pit, and Charizard--all lunging towards a Smash Ball in the top center of the wall. And yes, before I took a job I made it clear that Wario had to be on the wall.

Everybody Votes that MK is awesome...

, , , ...

This is MK signing in from Awesome Pants Land to report on a phenomenon. A miracle of sorts. Religions could in fact be based on this particular moment in History. Feast your hungry eyes on THIS:

After voting on -almost- every single vote there ever was on the Everybody Votes Channel...these are my results. After all them votes, I'd say that being above 75% is admirable. At best. Okay, maybe a bit moreso. Awesome to few--HOWEVER! Can anyone BEAT THIS?

JUGGABOOSH-SLAM!

Ladies and gentlemen, I think I BEAT the Everybody Votes Channel. Am I the first to do so (or rather, am I the first to care)?! A moment like this can be celebrated with the shouting of UNGH followed by YEAH--concluding with Na-na na-na.

UNGH.
YES. NA-NA NA-NA.

Can anyone beat this--or even come close to matching it?
