Mario’s Hat Get! Found a box from Nintendo today. Inside was Mario’s hat, a gift for platinum Club Nintendo members. It’s really nice and fits most noggins. Gonna have to make room between the Blood Berry beam katana and the Dead Space helmet.
Did anyone else get a hat or the Gold gift of the Animal Crossing Calendar?

Yep, that's me with my brand new Hotdog Hat! And yes, that is a dog eyeing it down... It's the current downloadable content item for the Animal Crossing on Wii (July 4th - July 18th). I guess since it's a North American distribution that makes it only for City Folk, and not Lets Go to the City players
Oh well! If your North American friend has the hat, they can order you another one from Nooks! haha! YES! Anyway read more... for the details to get the letter from Nintendo with the hat included as a present.

This month we celebrate the start of spring by coating N+ in a hefty layer of Animal Crossing! It's a great time to visit your villages in Animal Crossing because a bunch of new fish and bugs are roaming around now! Also the snow has been gone for a little bit. As you can see, here our animal crosser boy is pretty intense with his
bug collecting, I made sure to include perfect detail of a "
yellow butterfly". I thought it would be cool to use the bees for such an intense battle, but it's funnier if he uses just as much energy to catch the easiest bug in the game

Anyway you can see I used the
official Nintendo design character for Wild World. For a sweet wallpaper version of this months' header
check it here, and don't forget to 'zoom'.

For those of us still playing Animal Crossing on the Wii, this is awesome! For those of you who haven't visited your towns in a while, stop in and check out your sweet bed-head and then log on to WiFi because today is the last day to get your Shamrock Hat! It almost slipped by!
Also in extremely related news, there is
an official North American site dedicated to telling us about the DLC offer! Check it out!
N+ UPDATE: I guess this picture will automatically update when the new item is coming out! Kicky Sweet!

Happy Holidays from N+ ... whatever holiday(s) you may celebrate! Some of us like role playing games, some of us like adventure, others are sports freaks, and others are racing gamers, while not everyone prefers cats. But we all are here at N+ and N+ wishes you all kinds of holiday cheer!

Welcome to N+. This December we bring you a header of Animal Crossing goodness... with Holiday festivities! This header wasn't created by myself. It wasn't created by the Cap'n. It was created by Jayvee! I'm not sure what everything is! I've never played Animal Crossing, but it sure looks weird and nice!
+Update:
The wallpaper and
the screenshot are now in effect! Thanks for Jayvees great effort in making December festive and Animal Crossy!

There is a fishing tournament today in
Animal Crossing: City Folk. In my town of Rosewood, it's limited to carp only, maybe yours is different? Actually, do you even have a town yet? If you don't, just to rub it in, here is a picture of my winning catch! Did anyone else beat this size? What size was your fish?
The next in-game event will be on the 23rd, and its the Flea Market, be sure not to miss it! This is when you get to visit everyone's home and buy the items they have, and in turn, you can wait in your own house to sell the items you don't want - sure beats Nook's offers.

The
official website for Animal Crossing: City Folk has been updated and you can now check out all of the goodies. The coolest thing to get from the site is a free downloadable calendar application (Mac or PC) that displays all the special holidays in the game, like when the next fishing tourney is, or the next "Bug-Off" competition.
It looks like anyone who gets the game Sunday, and not
somehow earlier is going to miss a special fishing tourney that is going on Saturday! It looks like there is going to be a special fish to catch, and not just any fish for size.
One cool thing about the game that I recently discovered is that you can take pictures at any time and save them to an SD card, so you can mail it to your message board or friend's message boards. You can mail letters to emails and phones, but the game doesn't promise that everyone will recieve these pictures if you go that route.
- Woooo! I love my new town "Rosewood"!

We have all been slightly confused on the nature of "moving between the DS and Wii" in
Animal Crossing: City Folk. And if you were not confused, then you were sure of something - that was WRONG, or if you were right, why didn't you tell us? Anyway we got clear news here:
Turn your DS on and put it in
DS Download Play mode. There is no need for
Wild World. In City Folk you will have the ability to move your character and his held items to the DS. DO NOT turn off the DS, just fold it shut when the download is complete. Now when you venture out of your house, and to a friends house.. in real life, you can then upload this character to your friends town to use! Anything that changes with your character will only be saved if you move the character back to the DS and back to your City Folk. But don't worry, should something happen like the DS gets turned off before you make it back home, you will only have to suffer the loss of whatever you did, and the wrath of Resetti. You won't lose your character, and will probably keep all the items you had when you left your town.

Animal Crossing Wii, as a matter of fact is STILL freaking me out with anticipation. A lot of you, mostly kids, were pissed about what Nintendo showed at E3 on this game. This series is one of the best to keep to its original nature, and not wander too far off, because then it becomes something different entirely, and different is sometimes good, but
not always. The sweet stuff that vanished from the DS version is back, like holidays, and animals doing other things than walking when outside are back. The new voice chat thing which is sweet, and a couple new newsifiers, like how the city area will show people you have registered as Wii friends when they are online, downloadable content that DOESN'T cost real money, screenshots from game to Wiiboard or Email, USB keyboard functionality for writing letters, Mii masks, and the new juicy-tasty part about the DS/Wii connectivity:
You can move the characters from Wild World into the Wii game (not sure about items/bells/clothes)
You can also move your travel data to the DS (Hmmm... what does this mean?)
Sounds good right? Right!? Awesome! The one downside is that the new microphone will NOT be packaged with the game, it will launch on the same day for $30.USD though. $30!? Still though, I am so busy thinking of my new town name I forget to tie my shoes sometimes
"Robotown? Rockwater? Robert Downey Jr.Ville?" - the possibilities!

We get
Yoshi's Final Smash from the
Dojo today. It is extremely surprising because it doesn't include the Eggs that have become a staple of Yoshi games. This time around Yoshi shows some dragon-esque abilities by growing wings and breathing fire.
We also got the music for Smashville, the Animal Crossing themed stage, and while Sakurai admits that it was hard to rework the soft, relaxing music of ANimal Crossing into a suitable fight anthem, they pulled it off well.
Jump after the break for Yoshi screens and a link to the music.
