Good news and bad news. The good news is that our header looks fantastic and should be getting everyone excited about New Super Mario Bros. Wii coming out! Yeah!
The bad news? Well, it's the first and hopefully only time that we didn't do the artwork ourselves. It's the official background image for the
NSMB Wii website. Sorry guys, this last month all of the artists got a ton of work piled up on us, but you are OK with that, right? I mean, just look at how great our page looks now!

I'm not going to comment much on this, because the artwork is something that you HAVE to see for yourself.
GameInformer has just released a plethora of new images and video related to the upcoming Wii-exclusive title, Epic Mickey. Go
check it out!

The Internet and Famitsu have done it, once more. Konami has NOT officially announced the game yet, but that didn't stop the tattletale ESRB from rating it. Then Nintendo thought it would be cool to add the game's release to its calendar. Now, Famitsu surfaces with ACTUAL imagery and details on the game. Seems like Konami is falling behind.
Of course, the game is a remake, and is part of the ReBirth series Konami is set upong (such as the one from Contra), so this probably won't be the last ReBirth title in the series. For this instance, it is a remake/reimagining of GameBoy's Castlevania:The Adventure, replacing ropes with stairs (handy!).
The game is set to be released in Japan by October 27th, and Nintendo lists the release for Q3 2009 in the US. So stay tuned, we might get the game just in time for Halloween. The title will set you back 1,000 points.

The AWSOME cover of Game Informer's next issue blows the lid on Dinsey's upcoming (and so far, secret) game, Epic Mickey. The game is real.
Many leaks have surfaced in the past, including some pretty interesting artwork. Now, this cover confirms that the game is real, and apparently it will also reveal that it is in fact a Wii exclusive. The plot, also, will have something to do with the paintbrush seen in Mickey's hand.
Let's wait and see. Disney as we've never seen it before? Yes, please.

Hey everyone! I hope you like the header! It a tiny bit of editing to get it to fit right, so this is V2, I know a few of you saw V1 -
Check out the wallpaper if you want, I think it's pretty cool but i'm a bit partial myself. I had a different header in the works for October featuring Kirby in a different "power up" but I wasn't going to be able to finish that on time, it might just make an appearance later... maybe.
Anyway, jack-O-lantern Kirby has spotted something in the distance.... what is it that approaches?

Two of Nintendo's
most anticipated only holiday titles, New Super Mario Bros. Wii and The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, now have concrete release dates.
Yesterday, at the annual Tokyo Game Show, Nintendo announced that New Super Mario Bros. Wii, the first 2D console Mario platformer since Super Mario World, and the first multiplayer Mario title, will be released in America on November 15, 2009.
A few weeks ago, the Big N also announced a released date for the hotly anticipated sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, known as The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Spirit Tracks will be making a stop on American shelves on December 7, 2009.
After the break, you'll find press releases for both news items, as well as the final boxart for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

High Voltage software has yet another ace under its sleeve: The Grinder. Another shooter, but this time, bloodier and scarier than The Conduit (and, so they claim, with even better graphics and more on-screen enemies). And to tease us a bit more, they've released four high-res posters, featuring some of the enemies you'll be fighting in the game...it's a very 'a la movies' campaign, but they look good.

Well, the image on your right is the official box art for Capcom's upcoming, Wii-exclusive, co-op brawler, Spyborgs. The game has suffered MANY changes throughout its development, and now it gets a box and a release date: September 29th. Like so many other games, this one will require you to drop 50 bucks from your personal wealth to get it.
The question is, will you?

It's the Beastie Beastie Beastie Beastie Bros gettin' live on the spot, puttin' all kinds of shame in the game you got! So this month's design reflects absolutely no particular game release, it just celebrates the Mario Brothers, and is a sneaky way to get another passion of mine into the scene,
The Beastie Boys! They've got a new album coming out called "The Hot Sauce Committee", and they are touring in Europe (and hopefully North America) for it, so I am pumped!
When the best (three) MC's (and one DJ) in Hip-Hop mash up with the best brothers in gaming you get the Beastie Bros. I have this insanely over-sized poster in my bedroom of, from left to right, "AdRock" "MCA" and "Mike D". The poster is related to the record "Licensed To Ill" - however I cannot find it anywhere on the net! I think I may have a super collectible here. Anyway I hope you dig the new look, it's doubly fun for me this month. We of course have a
Beastie Bros Wallpaper for you. It was a very difficult decision whether or not to go black and white to stick with the original source poster, but I decided for it. The original design was in color!
If you want Read More... for a most ill music mash-up!

I don't know about you, but I think those alien tentacles are soooo in for a sexual harassment lawsuit...

This is what the box will look like on the shelves once the game comes out.
Screaming chick, annoyed dude (more than glad to let those fangy, alien tentacles finally shut her up), and a triple-laser gun. They should have added some rails on it... (Oh, snap!)
Via
DestructoidBTW: The cover looks familiar (no, seriously)... but I can't remember from which game... any ideas?

Remember that game many are waiting for? You know, the one where Nintendo will cram two Game-Cube remakes (with enhanced controls) and the latest Wii installment to compile the Metroid Prime trilogy? Well, the game is soon to be available... and the boxart is here to prove it.
Sexy, huh?

Looking for a Father's Day card? Look no further. Nothing says "Happy Father's Day" like giving your daddy a printed card (or the PDF version, if you're out of printers) that tries to sell him a game FOR YOU and challenges him to beat the crap out of you. Yeah, that's how you show love... ¬.¬
