N+ moderators Khadgar and myself were lucky enough to receive two Nintendo DSi's with the Opera web browser preinstalled a few weeks back, and we've been putting them through some rigorous testing (literally - I dropped mine twice, and I never drop anything, so it must have been for science).
Over the next few weeks, we'll be posting daily on the DSi. We're going to cover EVERYTHING because it seems like no other blog did. Exclusive to N+ will be our unique coverage of the new DS Browser - because our DSi's (even though they are Japanese language versions) were sent to the sexy folks in Norway where they downloaded it for us from DSware before shipping to N+. This new version has obvious updates like no need for additional RAM, it becomes a 'channel' on the DSi home screen, and since it's software based there is potential for updates, like the Wii browser has seen (and will get again).
What we'll need from you is comments and feedback on what you want to see, so we get you the most interesting info. DSi compared to DS lite, in every way. New DS browser compared to Old DS browser, in every way. DSi compared to G.I. Joes, in every way. New DSi Browser compared to Opera Mini, iPhone, iPod touch, GBA, GameBoy Player, a cat named Skoo, etc., in every way.
So give us some work to do in the comments, tell us what you want to see, while we compile our data from the past weeks and we'll give you guys and girls something to read daily on the upcoming European and North American Nintendo DSi. Also, follow
@NPlus on twitter for kicky fast notifications of new posts or subscribe to our new
N+ RSS Feed so we can get some stats to work with to better serve the community.

Earlier this week, N+ brought you a
first look at the brand new Opera DSi web browser running on the system. Now, thanks to Scandinavian magazine GamesReactor, we're able to bring you a first look at the second version of Opera for the Wii.
According to GamesReactor, the new version of the popular Wii Internet Channel will include many new features, including new buttons, Wii Speak compatibility, the ability to view your Wii mail directly from the browser, and the option to have as many as six tabs open at one time, viewable in a cube, as seen in the image to the right.
Version 2 of the Internet Channel will launch in December and cost 500 Wii Points. It will be available as a free upgrade to those who own the previous version.

Enplussers are being treated to the world's first preview of the Opera browser running on Nintendo's latest handheld device, Nintendo DSi! This video is exclusive (at least at the moment) to N+.
The browser appears to be leaps and bounds better than its predecessor for the DS, perhaps even based off of Opera's latest version. We're all big fans of Opera, especially Opera on the Wii and the DS. Looks as if the DSi version is going to be an excellent application to use when we're able to get our grubby hands on a DSi. Well after the break you can see the video.

With Super Paper Mario, there’s more to the game than meets the eye. Sometimes you have to take a closer look and you’ll discover big things in the minor details. The official Super Paper Mario website brings that feel to the web, especially when you use Wii’s Internet Channel.
Ok so check this out...
- In the Wii Menu, open the Internet Channel and find the Nintendo site under your favourites (if you live in Europe, otherwise check out nintendo-europe.com with your Wii).
- The central banner takes you to the Super Paper Mario website.
- Once you’re at the site, look for the icon of the Wii Remote at the top if the page.
- Select that icon to activate the power of Tippi, a Pixl from Super Paper Mario who helps him uncover some of the game’s many secrets.
Super Paper Mario is in shops 14 September for all those Europeans who had to wait. I know some of you imported it, and others in the States played it's wiskers off, but is there anyone who hasn't and is looking forward to this mustachioed gemstone of a game? Thanks Lawrence!

To be fair, there were a lot of people that missed the deadline for the EvWiiwhere Challenge (originally today was the last day) because of crappy local weather this weekend. I received a few messages from some that convinced me to extend the time frame for submissions another week. While this may seem unfair to those who've already submitted something, it still gives you a whole additional week to get more submissions in yourself, increase your chances of having the fan favorite, and still gives you a longer head start on building up your votes. So no worries, this extension benefits everyone.
To participate, read the detailed original post that also details the voting and prizes. And share the love with banners and buttons! The new deadline for submissions will be the end of the day (globally) May 6th 2007.

Today you may notice an eerie blue glow emanating from your Wii. It signifies that you have a message from Nintendo, informing you that the full version of the Opera Wii Browser is available for download. Once you have completed a system update, go onto the Wii shop and download the update (if you already have the trial version).
There are some significant improvements:
- Parental Control support

- Improved start-up speed
- Clearer text when zoomed-in
- Improved Wii Remote navigation
- Improved scrolling and zooming
- Built-in search via Yahoo! or Google
- Option to hide Toolbar
- New cursor animations and operation sounds
- Ability to view page security information
- Option to delete cookies
- Built-in support manual
Whilst you're in the browser, take time to check out
the new Wii Browser portal for Opera. It looks great!
So....what does everyone think of the new version?

UPDATE: The EvWiiwhere Album has been filled with the entries so far. Visit the album and use the star voting system at the bottom right corner of the images. You can submit entries here using the instructions below until the end of the global day, May 6th 2007. Then it will be all up to the votes in the remaining weeks of May.
PRIZES: What will the winners get? Since this is the internet and people can always find ways to cheat, the winners will be determined by the N+ Moderators who will take reader response, comments, and the star rating of each image into account, as well as the effort and creativity.
-
1st Prize: A Nintendo DS lite!
-
2nd Prize: A DS Browser!
-
3rd, 4th, and 5th Prize: MyOpera goodies
If you have any questions after reading, please send me a message through MyOpera.Wii has without a doubt captured the world's attention. From the predictions, to the breaking news, the surprises, features, style, size, and games, Wii has become a household name just as fast as 'Nintendo' did in the mid 80's.
Everywhere you turn, there's a commercial or store display. Every magazine cover is plastered with Wii news. Every store is trying to get you to trade in for Wii games. Every website's got a Wii news story almost daily. Wii is more than a success, it is a cultural phenomenon. Wii is everywhere. Well... almost. Let's have a little fun with the general public!
| Instruction Manual
- Be an N+ Member. If you aren't, Join Now.
- Take pictures of the word Wii spelled out in public. Don't just take a picure of the word; find it in unnatural places, or make it yourself out of things you found there (see my two glorious examples below).
- Post each picture as blogs to your MyOpera blog.
- Include one of the codes below in your EvWiiwhere posts by pasting it in before or after the image. (use tags like Nintendo, Wii, N+, and more to help others find them)
- Come here, and post a comment with a link right back to your blog letting us and the world know to check it out.
-
N+ Moderators will 'farm' the images we find from our users, and put them all in a private gallery. The gallery will be unveiled after we gather a bunch of images at which point everyone will be able to vote, or support, their favorites by using the built in voting system (

) and comments... the more votes, the better... so tell your friends to join N+ and vote!

| Power Ups
- If you make 5 seperate EvWiiwhere posts in your blog (with 5 comment links here), we'll do a blog post on N+ highlighting your submissions, and of course, link it back to your blog for extra attention.
- We'll look at the voting results and determine some winners, too. Expect some Nintendo and Opera themed prizes.
- The more entries we get, the more we're going to be able to give away. So go nuts!
- When the world downloads the Opera Browser for Wii, they may just find you highlighted in MyOpera.
The whole point is to show off how creative you can be, what you can find out there, and what you can leave for other people to discover, and for us to be able to link back to our readers' blogs in great number for once. N+ is only the sum of it's parts and we want to show off your blogs for once. Come up with the best images, and let us boost your traffic!
This is what an EvWiiwhere post should look like!
| The Fine Print
Look how fine this is! Doted imagines Bob Saget yelling "There's Wii everywhere!!" Challenge Art created by Khadgar, go look at his kicky new blog design. Larger versions of the examples are stored here. Man I really hope there's no typo's in this post... Have some fun... and try to keep up with me! Challenge submissions should be posted within the deadline posted above, to celebrate the Opera Browser for Wii Final Version release.

Hey, if you're a Digg user, and want to help spread word of the developer discussion and some late pics of the Wii Browser (Coming April from Opera), you can Digg this story: http://digg.com/gaming_news/First_look_at_the_FINAL_version_of_the_Wii_Internet_Channel_pics and if you've never used Digg before, you can create an account hyperfast by following the link anyway.
The more Diggs, the more it will spread! It's an excellent interview that Seaempty found earlier.
