In March, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: JUSTICE FOR ALL arrives. Phoenix Wright has six months experience and five court victories under his belt. But none of that will do him any good against the ruthless new D.A. in town. Franziska von Karma wants revenge and she's ready to take Phoenix down at any cost!

In May, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS arrives. Phoenix will face the toughest prosecutor yet as the mysterious hard-boiled “Godot” is gunning for him with extreme prejudice. Get ready for the most intense courtroom standoffs of Phoenix Wright’s career!

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom Headed To North America

, , , ...

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, a Wii exclusive fighting title already released in Japan, was long rumored to be staying in Japan forever due to extreme licensing issues with bringing characters from Tatsunoko Productions over to other regions. No one ever thought we'd see the game released in America.

We thought wrong. The latest issue of Nintendo Power, on newsstands soon, contains an exclusive reveal of "Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars", a new version of the game which might include online play and new characters, and is due out before the end of the year.

Mega Man 9 On An NES Cart?

, , , ...

Not exactly. Earlier today, John Diamonon from Capcom revealed the packaging for their Mega Man 9 assets CD to be sent to the press. Complete with the box art revealed earlier this year, these mock NES carts will open to reveal the asset CD with artwork, information, and screenshots. Good news for you readers: Capcom will be selling an extremely limited number of these through the Capcom Store, along with shirts with the box printed on them.

Now, excuse me while I bug my press contact for one of these babies...

Mega Man Gets Dated in Japan

, , , ...

Capcom of Japan has announced a release date for Mega Man 9: September 24. As Nintendo Wii Fanboy notes, WiiWare and Virtual Console games usually release on Tuesday in Japan, while the 24th is a Wednesday. Mega Man must be special or something....

Americans and Europeans will have to wait just a little longer to get their hands on the Blue Bomber's latest adventure.

Okami Replacement Covers Finally Shipping (With Bonus)

, , , ...

It feels like forever since the Okami - IGN watermark fiasco was news, yet no one has received their replacement covers... Disgruntled gamers angry with the IGN watermark on their boxart were offered the choice of a replacement, either the original with the IGN logo removed, or a choice of two new designs.

As it turns out, Capcom had some problems getting the covers shipped, and as a bonus for waiting, everyone is getting all three covers. Everyone who applied for a replacement will receive two sheets (sometime this week), with the original printed on one side of both sheets, and the designs on the other side.

Exit question: it wasn't really a big deal when it originally happened, but does anyone actually care now, after four months?

Capcom Considering More Wii Ports

, , , ...

With titles like Dead Rising and Okami, Capcom has been pouring lots of love into Nintendo's console - with ports. It seems people are never satisfied: a disgrunted gamer named John complained about not getting Wii versions of Resident Evil 5, Dead Rising 2, Lost Planet, Flock, Age of Booty, Street Fighter IV, Devil May Cry, or Dark Void.

Christian Svensson of Capcom responded to John's frustrations, stating that Capcom is "contemplating versions of one or two of the CEI titles you've mentioned on the Wii", as long as the original versions sell well.

So, which of the above titles do you think will be getting ports? I'm betting on Resident Evil 5 and Flock...

Capcom Survey Asks About Resident Evil 5 on Wii

, , , ...

A GoNintendo reader recently took part in a survey about Resident Evil 5, sent out by Capcom. One of the questions on the survey asked what would make people more likely to buy the game, and a reason listed included "Release of a Wii version". A sign that a Wii version is coming, at least being contemplated?

What do you think enplussers, would you play Resident Evil 5 on Wii?

Capcom 'Refining' Spyborgs, Possible Sequel Coming

, , , ...

When asked why Capcom's latest Wii title, Spyborgs, was absent from E3, Christian Svenson from Capcom informed members of the Capcom-Unity forum the title recently underwent a "major overhaul" and was not ready to be shown. Mr. Svenson also spilled the beans about a Spyborgs sequel: when asked about online co-op, he replied that they "have to save some features for the sequel."

I haven't played Spyborgs, but I'm wondering how Capcom decided to build a franchise out of a game that hasn't been released, while Zack and Wiki has almost no chance of a sequel...

Capcom Aiming for 100 On-Screen Zombies in Dead Rising

, , , ...

According to the latest issue of Nintendo Power, Capcom is aiming for a goal of 100 on-screen zombies in the Wii edition of Dead Rising (Chop Til You Drop). The Xbox 360 version obviously featured many more zombies on screen at once, but Capcom might be able to pull off a similar experience with some clever art design. After all, 100 zombies on Wii is a pretty good technical achievement.

Just to reiterate, other features include Resident Evil 4-like controls, an improved save system, multiple difficulty levels, and larger text. We can't wait to our hands on the title (and some zombies).

Mega Man 9 Coming in September, Mega Man Hits VC Monday

, , , ...

According to a post at the Capcom-Unity boards, the original Mega Man is hitting the North American VC service this Monday. The post also confirmed a September release for Mega Man 9 on WiiWare, as well as Mega Man 2 on the Virtual Console.

We have also learned that Samurai Showdown II and YS Book 1 & 2 will be hitting the VC this Monday, along with Plattchen and Wild West Guns on WiiWare.

Everyone loved Capcom's first Wii zombie shooter, Resident Evil 4, so Capcom decided to port another such title over to the Wii: Dead Rising. The 360 game, along with an amazing subtitle (Chop Til You Drop), is being ported to the Wii using the Resident Evil 4 engine. Chop Til You Drop will include additional camera features and new Wii motion controls.

Screenshots and the press release are after the break.

Mega Man 9 to Feature DLC, Cost $10

, , , ...

You've seen the announcement and scans and you've seen the first footage - what's next? How about some pricing and release date information?

... for Japan, at least. Back in SNES days, people would have been happy to pay at least $50 dollars for a new installment in the series. According to Famitsu, however, will sell on WiiWare for 1000 Wii Points, or $10 USD. Famitsu also mentions the game will see a September release in Japan, and we can only assume it's likely to release in America around that time as well.

Famitsu and Nintendo Power have now both suggested Mega Man 9 will feature downloadable content. Any ideas on what it will be? Let us know in the comments.

We have also received several new screenshots, which you can see after the break.

Capcom Updates Us On Okami Replacement Covers

, , , ...

I'm sure many of you remember the Okami cover fiasco. The original cover for the game featured an IGN watermark hidden in the background. Clever sleuths found the accidental watermark and complained. Capcom, being the awesome company they are, offered everyone that purchased the game replacement covers for free.

This all happened back in April. I, along with many others, applied for a replacement cover but never received it. What happened? Capcom's Colin has an answer for us:

I wanted to give you all an update regarding the special covers for Okami.

First off, thanks to all who submitted. Your love of Okami is apparent by the flood of requests for the new covers. Interest was spread across all three options fairly evenly, and some folks even submitted three times to try and get all the covers.

Because of the sheer number of entries, repeats and foriegn entries the list has taken awhile to collect. Those who submitted multiple times were reduced to one. Those who submitted from outside the US and Canada were removed entirely (sorry!).

Our hard-working staff is almost done and we'll be sending out the confirmation emails next week with art arriving in your mail shortly after. As a special bonus, the art will actually be double sided with the original Wii cover artwork on one side and the new piece of art on the other. Two for one is how we like to do things at Capcom.

For those who missed the opportunity, you can still download high quality versions of the special covers at http://www.capcom.com/artredemption/. Also, don't forget about all the amazing artwork at http://www.artofokami.com. If you don't have a color printer, your local copy shop will print it for you for about 50 cents.

Thank you again for supporting Okami on the Wii and look here for more updates should the need arise.

Like I said, Capcom is an awesome company, which is proven by the fact we all get -two- covers. I did, however, apply for both of the new ones, so I wonder how they'll decide which one I get...
