Another week, another batch of new WiiWare titles. Still no Gyrostarr or Dr. Mario yet...
NEW+ Critter Round-Up (Konami, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone - Comic Mischief, 1,000 Wii Points)
The critters have escaped, and the barnyard is in chaos! It's up to you to quickly corral the animals in this puzzle-action challenge. You'll have to mend fences in a hurry to keep all the critters safe and satisfied. But the fun doesn't stop with the farmland; more than 50 challenging levels take you to several exotic locations, including the outback, the icy Arctic and more. There's even a series of minigames for when the critters get you down: Snowball Soccer, Predator Rampage, Chicken Catch and Fence Trap. Up to four players can compete or cooperate as the critters run wild. So roll up those sleeves and grab a friend-those critters won't catch themselves.
NEW+ Star Soldier R (Hudson Entertainment, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone - Fantasy Violence, 800 Wii Points)
Star Soldier R is a new kind of shooter where players aim for the best scores within a two- or five-minute time limit. Develop various scoring strategies, and pump out those points within the breakneck time frame. Assembled in record time to counter the advance of a powerful enemy, the mysterious Brain Forces, the "Caesar" starfighter takes off to fight for the very future of mankind. Shoot down countless enemies, upgrade your ship to the max with power-ups hidden throughout the levels and wage an all-out assault against the core of the enemy fortress. Combining the excitement of shoot-'em-ups with in-depth scoring strategies, this state-of-the-art competitive shooter will keep you coming back for more. Upload your best scores with Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection, and pit your skills against the world's best fighter pilots from the comfort of your living room. Hone your skills and show the world who's boss.

It's the last week of the Hanabi Festival today, and the updates end with 3 more previously-unreleased-in-the-EU titles.
NEW+ Star Parodier (TurboGraFX - 900 Points)
Hudson Soft’s Star Soldier series gets the parody treatment in Star Parodier, a cutesy shoot ‘em up packed with classic Hudson in-jokes. Play as Bomberman, a Star Soldier fighter or even a flying PC Engine! Originally a CD-Rom release, Star Parodier is also famous for its toe-tapping soundtrack.
NEW+ Digital Champ Boxing (TurboGraFX - 700 Points)
This arcade-style boxing game, previously unseen outside of Japan, features a rare first-person perspective. Take on the world’s greatest prize fighters as you perform powerful jabs, hooks and uppercuts, controlling both of your gloves independently.
NEW+ Grey Lancer (Mega Drive - 800 Points)
Cult classic shoot ‘em up Gley Lancer comes to Virtual Console; its first release outside of Japan! When her father is captured by alien forces, young rookie pilot Lucia takes a prototype fighter on a rescue mission, engaging the enemy across space, underwater or through claustrophobic caves.
If Digital Champ Boxing is anything like Super Punch-Out, I may have to give it a whirl.

Because today is the launch of WiiWare games in North America, no Virtual Console games were added. Nintendo did, however, provide us with six WiiWare titles. The leaked press release CaptainSeagull posted a few days ago proved to be right, with the following titles being released. I sure wish I had enough money to download everything I wanted ...
NEW+ FINAL FANTASY® CRYSTAL CHRONICLES®: My Life as a King™ (Square Enix, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone - Mild Fantasy Violence, Mild Suggestive Themes, 1,500 Wii Points)
FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: My Life as a King takes a legendary franchise and launches it into the realm of simulation gaming. Players are challenged to rebuild a kingdom, leading its young king on a path of discovery through an adventure bristling with mystery and intrigue.
NEW+ LostWinds™ (Frontier Development, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone - Mild Fantasy Violence, 1,000 Wii Points)
A fresh, enchanting platform adventure that puts the power of the wind in the palm of your hand - from raging tornados to the gentlest breeze. You'll wield your Wii Remote™ controller to power Toku's jumps and glides, suspend and smash enemies, meet friends and solve puzzles using LostWinds' novel, intuitive and playful control system.
NEW+ Defend your Castle™ (XGen Studios, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone - Cartoon Violence, 500 Wii Points)
Defend your Castle takes place on a grassy plain surrounded by invaders. You are the commander of your castle, and it is your duty to fling the invading enemies sky-high, watching them plummet to their demise. As you progress, add powerful spells and upgrades to your arsenal for repelling the attacks. How long can you hold them off?
.
NEW+ Pop™ (Nnooo, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 700 Wii Points)
Pop bubbles to score points and stop the timer from running out. Pop can be enjoyed by anyone - casual gamers can simply play to pop bubbles and keep the game moving, whereas advanced players will need to pick their shots rapidly and accurately and generate combos to maximize their score.
NEW+ V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack™ (High Voltage Software®, Inc., 1-4 players, Rated T for Teen - Simulated Gambling, 700 Wii Points)
V.I.P. Casino: Blackjack re-creates the casino experience, with fully animated players and a realistic Las Vegas dealer. Single players can increase their bankrolls, while multiple players can engage in a head-to-head mini-blackjack tournament.
NEW+ TV Show King (Gameloft, 1-4 players, Rated E for Everyone, 1,000 Wii Points)
TV Show King transforms your living room into a real TV quiz show studio where you'll face the challenge of answering more than 3,000 questions across six different categories. Compete against family and friends and use your Wii Remote controller in original ways to make it to the finals to see who can win the greatest amount of cash in one final, deciding duel.

Remember the Everybody's Nintendo Channel that launched in Japan last November? You know, the one that offered downloadable demos of DS games via the Wii? It's coming to America. Soon. How soon? Next month soon.
According to Chris Kohler over at Wired, the channel is set to launch in America alongside WiiWare on May 12, simply titled "Nintendo Channel." An interesting addition is that you are now able to review any WiiWare games that you have played for more than an hour, and read reviews from other Wii owners via the channel. We at N+ are certainly looking forward to it!
Unfortunately, nothing has been announced for European Wii owners yet...

Only one game for Europe this week, but I guess that's OK seeing as we got four last week!
NEW+ Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doooooooooooooom (SEGA MegaDrive - 800 Points)
The classic role-playing series continues in this sprawling epic that spans three generations. After a thousand years, the uneasy truce between two warring races is broken. As heir to the throne, the fate of the world will be decided by your choices, and those of your descendants.

Four games in one day? Nintendo must be making up for only releasing one last week... And two of them are Master System titles! Not bad!
NEW+ Wonder Boy – SEGA Master System (500 points)

NEW+ Impossible Mission – Commodore 64 (500 points)
Evil genius Professor Elvin Atombender plans to destroy the world. NEW+ California Games - Commodore 64 (500 points)
Go back to the 80s with this ‘totally tubular’ collection of sun-soaked sports games. Try your hand at surfing, skateboarding, BMX biking, roller skating and more, either solo or in competition with up to seven friends. ‘Awesome, dude!’

This classic puzzler puts you in the role of Mario as he frantically sorts freshly baked cookies rolling off the production line. Play solo through 100 challenging levels or take on a friend in the simultaneous two-player mode.
