From here on out I am going to call the game "Animal Crossing:Wii" because of the different names the game has across regions - But to the point, a few of us have been running into a few photo limitations within the games snapshot feature. When I first ran into it it made me think my SD card was broken or something. DON'T PANIC if you get this message when trying to save a photo to your SD Card: There is no SD Card in the Wii. Please insert an SD Card into the Wii and try again. For some reason certain photos cannot be saved, who knows why.
Some useful tips with photographs:
You CAN photograph and save your friend code screen!
Using the Photo Channel on the Wii you can view all the photos saved to the SD Card from AC and send them to the Wii message board, color on them and all that - no need to mail them from town hall! Try this with a photo of your friend code, and send it to your Wii buddies!

Thats right! N+'s Jayvee and Captain Seagull have a copy of Animal Crossing: City Folk! Wal-Mart has broken the street date so some Wal-Marts are selling them today instead of Sunday! So if you want to get your Animal Crossing fix in before Sunday, go look at your local Wal-Mart!
If you have any questions about the game that you want me or the Cap'n to answer, ask away in the comments!
+Update1: Before you are allowed to play the game though you are forced to preform a Wii system update. +Update2: Using the DS/Wii communication technology, when you start a new game you are allowed to migrate your character over from the "Wild World" into your "City Folk" game. You will not have any of the items or bells or clothing you have from Wild World, but you will have the same hair style, and part of the City Folk catalog at Nooks will be ready! Also, your character does not get deleted from Wild World!
It looks like we may have some official box art for the game on our hands. I have seen plenty of fake stuff before, and it has always looked like crap. This, actually doesn't look so bad, it's got the right feel to it, and isn't obviously ripped from other images that were hastily Photoshoped together. Judge for yourself, I wont claim this as IT or NOT IT until its official. - via animal xing Also, it looks like there MIGHT be a bundle of AC:CF and the WiiSpeak accessory. When the game launches in November it is said that you can get the game by itself, or with the mic for a bundled price of $69.99. If this price point and news IS true then its a good idea to get the bundle if you know that you will use the mic, even for future games if not this one, because it saves you a couple bucks compared to buying the things seperately. - via wii fanboy
E3 has become a staple in gaming culture, evolving from a small convention where the gaming industry shows off their stuff to the press to a big convention where the old American practice of showboating and shock and awe takes center stage. Anything but a shocking presentation is considered subpar. Yesterday Nintendo delivered a presentation at E3: the one everyone waits for. Nintendo-- yesterday-- announced Animal Crossing: City Folk with Wii Speak (which we need to do something on), Wii Music, and Wii Sports Resort while showing off the new Wii Motion Plus they announced the day prior to the presentation. This year the common consensus is that the presentation and what was presented for the most part was garbage, and I can say that I agree.
The August issue of Official Nintendo Magazine in the UK featured the image to the right as a teaser for their September issue. The caption for the image reads: "It's Been A While! Time to revisit an old friend. How's your village doing these days?" The teaser also promises to bring us the biggest news from E3 - which is happening next week, by the way.
Obviously, the only natural conclusion that can be reached is that Animal Crossing Wii will be showcased by Nintendo at their E3 conference. Right? Right. Tom East, a staffer for Official Nintendo Magazine stated on his blog that:
…those of you who have read the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine should already know that Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference.
HECK YES. Expect full coverage of everything happening at E3 right here at N+.
No sooner does Beeks share 64DD info with the N+ readers that's so kicky solid we can practically taste it, wiifan24 (Myron)blows my skull clean into next week by simply sharing his!
Oh, AAAAND the most ferocious Nintendo collection I've ever seen. Ever. And I've seen the Internet. This collection may not have "every NES game ever with books" (well, I dunno, it may) but it certainly spans more decades than anyone else's that I've seen, has the widest variety, and left me so speechless, that I couldn't think of a title for this post and I threw my box for Ping Pals into orbit. He had sent these pictures to Neeecole who forwarded them on to me.
Check out the last page of the Member Hardware Album, but first, tie your belt around your chair. All of those tags are intentional.
I didn't know I was going to get this, I was just playing some Animal Crossing: Wild World (11:00 PM MST) for the DS, when I went WiFi in a desperate attempt to make my deliveries from Nook go faster. I ordered some items, to make my house more christmasy. I also ordered a Daimond shirt, and a matching Red Pom-Pom beanie to match.
Well when I got off the WiFi, I got a letter from Nintendo on Snowman Paper in my mailbox...
Dear Anton, It's a proven fact that hats with pom-poms keep you 34 percent warmer than other hats. From Nintendo
I have no idea where they got their stats from, but the gift attatched was a Red Pom-Pom hat! It's like Nintendo granted my xmas wish AC-style!
Also, I have no idea when these letters started going out, or when they will stop, but if you are a collector, go get 'em!
Watch out, today is the last day to recieve your Zelda gift from Nintendo via WiFi!
I still havn't got on yet, it's been a busii wiik for mii. Has anyone got on and recieved their gift? what was it? I personally hope for something other than the Master Sword or Triforce, as I have both pices already. I want somthing that will never come around again... Like Zelda herself! hahaha!
once again, Get in there Rock!
EDIT: If you havn't gotten it already, we may have missed it! I think it was a sunday only thing, AH NO! this week is for bowling pins... i think. oh man I hope i didn't miss "somthing that will never come around again"
- Captain Seagull
After Searching the inter web, I bring good news to those who missed the gift! The Zelda item was "Master Sword" which many of us N+ members can trade around and re-order, and the week long givaway was in fact Bowling Pins...
No freckles, the goodies we will be getting from the 17th through the 24th do not include bubble tea. Nintendo Power Magazine has said that they are giving us WiFi goodies in november to celebrate the launch of There new system: Wii. Moreover they say it has somthing to do with Zelda.
None of us saw the Watermelon table as a potential gift commemerating the launch of clubhouse games. So we shouldn't (nescesarily) be expecting a Tri-force or Master Sword... even though I am.
I will further explain how to get the item (some people still don't understand fully) through WiFi....
Go anywhere there is a compatible acces point and begin playing your game as usual. Run to your town gate and try to invite someone over or go to a friends town. You don't NEED to actually have anyone come over, or leave anywhere yourself! all you NEED to have done is a succesful gate opening. After a minute or two close your gate and check your mail. If anyone did come to your town you will recieve the gift immediately, if they didn't you will just have to wait till one of Nooks regular shipping times.
I almost forgot! I almost left for work without reminding you guys to go online with Animal Crossing Wild World today! Nintendo is giving out that super special somthing over WiFi! go go go!
- Captain Seagull
[+UPDATE] A Watermelon Chair? from Cornimer the Mysterious? Whaa?
If you have visited our forums you willl have noticed that we here at "N" love to cross animals. You might say that our beastiality love for the game is as severe as the love DS Fanboy has for Pheonix Wright
So this news shouldn't be regarded as some fluffy brush away, it's big news. Nintendo Power Magazine has informed us that we should go WiFi October 20th. Appearantly some kind of super special bonus is comming our way. Don't believe me? why not? ok, well if you must read it for yourself, go pic up the magazine, if you are ok with quotes:
“Each Friday, Nintendo sends a letter with an attached item to all residents of Animal Crossing: Wild World; all you have to do to receive it is connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Keep an eye out for the October 20th giveaway in particular, as Nintendo is planning to sent out an especially valuable item that day in honor of the Clubhouse Games launch." - Nintendo Power, November 2006, V209, pg. 97
You got that? good! cause we don't mess around when it comes to our AC:WW. Log on to the WiFi connection October 20th for some goody goodness. I have posted the day in our countdown section, so keep your lids peeled.
Smashing Ideas Inc., the company that developed the site for Nintendo's Animal Crossing:Wild World has been recognised by the Web Marketing Association in its 2006 WebAward Competition. It was given the honour of Outstanding Website.
Tiffany Young, Creative Director, Smashing Ideas, has this to say on winning the award:
We always have a great time working on Nintendo sites, and creating this site for Animal Crossing: Wild World gave us the opportunity to deliver a uniquely interactive online experience for consumers.
The Fireworks show is going on this month every saturday so get in there!
Now the serious stuff:
I wanna watch this sooooo bad, almost half as bad as snakes on a plane (and that is some serious desire, honestly). feel free to rumage through the Official Website as much as you want.
Slated for a Japanese showing in December 16th 2006...
now, what I can't figure out is, how is this movie going to work? will the story follow the move out, and growing up in the woods of the character(s)? ... do they move back home? whatever it is, I can almost garauntee that a cartoon show will sprout up like Jacobs Ladders in a perfect town.
Well my main complaint i have with Opera Mini 4.5 5.0 & Opera Mobile on my E51 smartphone its not accessing the prective text funtion of my phone while there are other 3rd party apps there where it uses the good ol Tegic T9
