Yep, Khadgar does his CG-design thing, MK has his mural, and I, well I decorate cakes. Ok, maybe I like to do a little digital and traditional art here and there too, but I am nothing near as advanced as the Khad man in the computer stuff! You gotta hear him try and walk n00bs like me through advanced (or medium?) Photoshop lessons! But one cake I am particularly proud of is my Bulbasaur Cake.
I made this for my friend Ryan's birthday. He just turned 22 and this is his favorite Pokemon, so how could I refuse? Aside from the Donkey Cake Country I made, this is my first real cake like this. All the rest I have ever done have been the generic cakes you find in the grocery stores case. DCC was like a practice round.
Visit My Food Gallery to check out more, and larger pictures of the Bulba-cake (and how it almost was accidentally an Ivysaur cake!)

Remember when Tingle brought in Spring this year? Well, we never made him a wallpaper because the artwork was basically an edit of the Euro-boxart to his game, and not officially N+ artwork. However, the editing was done so that his rosey rupee land could fit into N+, so we decided to go ahead and give you guys a wallpaper anyway! It's a bit late, but hey sometimes that happens right?
If you would like to check out the wallpaper go on ahead, and don't forget to check out the rest of our N+ themed wallpapers in the N+ Design Gallery!

N+, khadgar, design, kart
...
Believe it or not I actually began on this in MARCH after you guys wanted a Mario Kart header. I finally finish it a couple of days shy of JULY. Whew. Not so speedy is it?
Anyway, considering we missed the release of Mario Kart by a few months I decided it'd still be fitting to put us beating the snot out of each other racing on a fictional track modeled after the graphics used to advertise Opera 9.5. We might not be going so fast, though. We seem too occupied with destroying each other than actually racing... well maybe not Seaempty. Heck, Lutherjw can't even decide which way he wants to go! How fitting. Opera's released a great update to their browser, and we're all about Nintendo and Opera, so here's something to display our appreciation for Opera. Besides, without them we wouldn't even have this log here!
As usual, the header doesn't show all of the image. You can view a high res image in the N+ Design Album in the photos section of this site.

N+, gallery, design, art
...

As you can see N+ has undergone another visual transformation! I bring to you the classic Duck Hunt game in a more realistic styling! This isn't to celebrate the launch of anything besides the month of May (which by the way half the world is celebrating already, so NO when I posted this it was NOT too early).
Allergies are here and so are the ducks that swim in the parks and mountains we are allergic to! huzzah! if shooting the lake doesn't solve your allergy problems, try shooting the ducks?
If you like this header check out the
N+ Design Gallery for a full wallpaper sized image!
N+ does not endorse shooting any ducks besides tin ones at carnivals

samus, prime, N+, khadgar
...
If you're a regular here at N+ you've probably noticed that the site has slowly changed over the past month or so. That's been my doing. I don't do many news posts on here, and I spend most of my time with N+ changing the visuals. I was asked to become a moderator for N+ to do just that, and here's what's become of my efforts so far.
The page still remains the same width, but with the removal of the background gradient I was able to remove the outside padding and gain some content space in the process while simplifying the page. Now the focus is on the header imagery and the content itself, which is what it should be. In fact, that's all that's left.
It is my idea that from time to time I would create a header image to commemorate a particular part of Nintendo be it a person, character, game, etc. This time it's to commemorate the release of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. This took me quite a while to finish painting it, and I can say I'm relatively happy with the result. It's not the best work I've ever done, but it's gotten to a point I'm ready to stop work on it. I think overall it's an excellent start to what I hope will become a long series of artwork created for N+. You can view a rather large version of the header image in the photo gallery.
I felt that it was time to make it live rather than continue to tweak minor details. I will most likely make the tweaks gradually over time, so this is only the start. Enjoy the new design. I can't wait to do the next one!
Maybe now I can get the time to actually play the game...

pokemon, pearl, daimond, ds
...

Before I begin, I want to give ALL credit to the fine folks over at
Serebii.net. I happened to be thinking of my impeding package of Pearl delivered to my door any day now, and was wondering what they had found out. Well, it is really cool news, to me anyway.
At some point in the game you will be able to get "stickers" to put on pokeballs. It goes beyond that though, these stickers have little animations that trigger when you enter a battle and the pokemon is released. There are a whole lotta stickers that you can mix to get different effects. I really want to make some kind of Seagull ball effect.
Here is the text directly from the link provided:
"In this Market, you are capable of purchasing many different kinds of Stickers. They sell different stickers on different days and there are many kinds and strength of stickers.
They are usually fairly cheap at 50 to 150 PokéDollars so it'ld be worth stocking up
Now that you have stocked up on stickers, go to any PC and pick the second option, the option that used to be your Item PC (which has now been scrapped). Select the second option and you will get given a choice of Twelve Pokéballs. This is the amount of designs you are capable of storing.
Select the one you wish to edit and you can go into the next screen. On this screen however, you are also capable of assigning Pokémon to the design." - Serebii.net- Captain Seagull
