Opera 2.0 for Wii Revealed

, , , ...

Earlier this week, N+ brought you a first look at the brand new Opera DSi web browser running on the system. Now, thanks to Scandinavian magazine GamesReactor, we're able to bring you a first look at the second version of Opera for the Wii.

According to GamesReactor, the new version of the popular Wii Internet Channel will include many new features, including new buttons, Wii Speak compatibility, the ability to view your Wii mail directly from the browser, and the option to have as many as six tabs open at one time, viewable in a cube, as seen in the image to the right.

Version 2 of the Internet Channel will launch in December and cost 500 Wii Points. It will be available as a free upgrade to those who own the previous version.

What's Pink and Sucks?

, , , ...

Kirby, that's what (who)! And unlike Kirby, the music to his games do NOT suck... or are pink. "What's Pink and Sucks" is XOC's other cover album: Kirby's Adventure. And even though SMW is still a better game, XOC covered the Kirby game, in my opinion, better than SMW. If you missed out on the SMW cover, check it out, then visit the official download site for What's Pink and Sucks.

XOC also has a website that links to projects he is into that he may, or may not be a part of. OH and if you check the bottom of his website, you can pick up some random MP3s. Some are Metroid, some are Sonic, but still enough to make a mini-soundtrack if you want.

XOC - SMW

, , , ...

XOC, if you don't love him yet, you will soon! I like bringing you guys music, last time it was Metroid Metal, and before that Jayvee brought you guys some Zelda Reorchestrations. Today I bring you one dude playing a bunch of different instruments to do the most complete covers ever known to man: Super Mario World. Besides the fact that he covered every song down to the P-Switch in this album, and made sure that Chocolate Plains sounded different then the regular overworld is boss! Oh and he didn't just cover the music in some old traditional way either, you can really feel this guys difference in how he plays, its terrific - the BEST SMW cover ever, and that means alot coming from me, as it's my favorite game of all time! Go Here to check out the track listing where you can download FOR FREE each one individually, with permission from the artist himself. If you want to go all out and download the expanded GOLDINUM edition .RAR file, right click here and "save target as" to wherever you want in your computer. This ExpEdition is new to me, and a limited edition, I downloaded the regular album a while ago and just found out about "goldinum" just now, I can't wait to listen!

Oh and he has a super limited OFFICIAL release album out right now that you may wanna buy. The price is $6 US and $8 for the rest of the planet, NOT a bad deal at all, I just ordered one, who knows how many are left, there are only 100 made. Here's the link and description:

xoc has participated in other Concatenation compilations, but this is his first solo release for the label (and for Good-Evil Records), and it's quite the endeavor. xoc has spent the last three and a half years working on a medley that consists of 100 short themes from video games which spans 18 minutes and 22 seconds.

Since the length is under 24 minutes, xoc decided to have this release printed up on 3" CDs.

Metroid Metal

, , , ...

So we already hooked you up with the orchestration covers of Zelda games when Jayvee linked us to ZREO. This time we bring you a completely different genre in game covers, Metal. Again, these songs are FREE DOWNLOADS by the cover-creator himself, Grant Henry, at his website Metroid Metal. Download 'em while you can, and put 'em in your ipods, zunes, or see-dees if you still got a player.

Oh and if you donate anything above $6, you can get a lossless Metroid Metal: Remastered CD!

Dont you want-a? Want-a Font-a?

, , , ...

Have you ever wanted to do some sweet Nintendo Fan-Art but couldn't get the letters to look "just right"? Or did you want to print your own T-Shirt that said something like Nintendork? Well, N+ went out looking for a few fonts that will allow you to create the perfect Nintendo themed birthday invitation cards! or anything else that you want to do using the fonts!

This font pack includes:

Continuum: Comes with three different versions, a heavy, light, and medium build. Use Heavy to get the best effect, and grey in color for an even better match of the official Wii logo.

Gamecuben: Captital letters mimic the "GAMECUBE" portion of the logo, while lowercase letters emulate the "NINTENDO" part of the logo. Type ~ to get the Gamecube icon (like in the banner)

Pretendo
: This is version 2! Pretendo has been floating around the net for a long time as the best traditional Nintendo Logo font, and many of you probably have it. DELETE the old file and get this one, its a re-edit and looks much nicer! this guy claims to have made it.

All fonts will work with PC and MAC. Just un-zip the pack and take all the ".ttf" files to your font folder in the computer! For more video game fonts visit GameFonts.com (oddly enough i found this site AFTER i compiled these fonts for you)

Surprise Ninja Attack: DS Download Station Volume 7

, , , ...

Ninjas. Mankind's most silent, but deadly, killers. Whether they are killing pirates, answering questions on YouTube, or simultaneously being both doctor and a ninja--all ninjas are highly skilled in the art of being sneaky sons of bitches. Likewise, the newest volume of the DS Download Stations in the United States has quietly arrived into stores nationwide. When these Download Stations first came out, Nintendo was all "LOOK AT ME I'M FULL OF FREE DEMOS!" and put standees in all the stores. Nintendo has gone the way of the ninja with demos and movies ready to pounce upon unsuspecting customers... and their DS systems. And going along with the whole ninja theme,

NINJA -freaking- GAIDEN : DRAGON SWORD is PLAYABLE.

Oh, and also-awesome-but-already-released-so-you-should-just-buy-the-game CONTRA 4! So, while a few weeks late (it was very sneaky!), I've carefully written down what's on today's menu. It's very difficult to choose what you want to download first since there are a lot of awesome games on here.

DEMOS:
  • Brain Age 2
  • Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword
  • Contra 4
  • MySims
  • Cooking Mama 2
  • Picross DS
  • Planet Puzzle League
  • High School Musical
  • Worms: Open Warfare 2
  • Jam Sessions

MOVIES:
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass Movie 1
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass Movie 2
  • Pokemon Battle Revolution
  • Transformers: Autobots and Decepticons
  • Spiderman: Friend or Foe

Everything but the Game

I am in love with this idea.

The Nintendo Fan Network

The Nintendo-owned Seattle Mariners just became awesome. After a year in development, and cooperation from Major League Baseball, Nintendo has rolled out a program where if you bring your DS to the Mariners' Safeco Field, you can download a program froma DS Download station that lets you watch live video, cue up replays, order food from vendors to be delivered to your seat, view additional MLB stats and get even more info right on your DS!

At $5 for one game, or $10 for five games, the service seems to be either a neat idea, or a bargain in bulk for some. According to Nintendo, while barely advertised, the service seems to have a decent ammount of interest behind it from fans.

Smash Brothers Site Updated!

, , , ...

Everyone is Eagerly anticipating the new Smash Brothers: Brawl for Nitnendo Wii right? ok well, few are actually neutral about it, but for the rest of us, it's pandemonium!

If you head on over to The Official Smash Brothers website, you will find a quasi-new video! The video is the one many of us have already seen recorded off-screen at Nitnendo World Japan, except this time it is not off-screen (so... onscreen?) Lets just say the good kind. This is the second official video released, and second video overall as far as I know. If youv'e seen it before, watch it again, the sound is better, as well as picture quality.

If you want to download it, I have provided this IGN Downloads link directly to the smash videos.

enjoy!
