Bomberman Blitz, from Hudson, is a new download for the DSiWare service. The Wii's Nintendo Channel has a very good preview video of the game, which got my attention because it looks like a full offering of Bomberman's classic gameplay style, but with 8-player multiplayer modes in local or Wi-Fi play. The game also includes maps that cover both screens, and training modes to help you hone your skills.

his own mini-hands-on! We whole-heartedly approve. If you have some extra DSi Points floating around and don't have a clue what to do with them, download this title. It's fun in one-player mode, but its AMAZING when you have some friends around!

According to reports by
IGN UK, Satoru Iwata, Nintendo's CEO, has admitted to investors that the current WiiWare and DSiWare market is small. But he offers a solution: WiiWare demos.
He states that as a part of a test program, a few WiiWare titles are going to be offered with a demo, with which he hopes to increase the market by luring more users into the service this way. This is because they are aware of the fact that most users only browse the WiiShop channel (or the DSi one) when they already know which title they are going to buy, which limits the market possibility a good deal. He does go on, however, to admit this is not THE solution to this particular problem. So, let's see how well this one plays out.
So far, there are not reports as to whether or not the service is going to make it outside of Japan.

Square Enix will be releasing this week it's mobile title, Kuni Yaburete Sanga Ari (Hills and Rivers remain) onto DSiWare. Unfortunately for the rest of the world, such title is only slated for a Japanese release, with no word on whether or not this title will ever make it outside Japan (let's hope it does, as long as it is a good one).
The game features 4-player wireless gameplay, updated stylus control, and according to reports, some exclusive maps when in multiplayer mode. The game will be sold at 800 DSi Points (around US$8) and will be available from October 28th.

Nintendo's licensing policy is just getting more ridiculous every time they open their mouths. This time it's the turn for DSiWare; Australian site,
Nintendo Life, has confirmed that DSiWare purchases are locked to the specific hardware they were downloaded to and cannot be transferred to another DSi unless you send it to Nintendo.
According to their interview, if you download a game or app for your DSi, it stays there forever. Should you get bored of the color and want to change your DSi, you lose all of your purchases. Yup. All of them.
The only way that DSiWare titles can be transferred from one handheld to another is by sending them back (both devices) to Nintendo so that they can perform their super secret procedure. Oh, but wait! That's not the end of your ordeal! Oh, no! Nintendo will only authorize the transfer IF the original DSi is broken and/or damaged.
Although Nintendo of America seems to be a little more user-friendly than Aussie Nintendo, there's still hope that such a policy is not in effect this side of the ocean (but not too high, though). And as GameSpot points out, should you read Nintendo's End User license, you'd get why:
...software downloaded from Nintendo DSi Shop is licensed to you, not sold.

Not THAT kind of 'B' games, though... PopCap had previously announced that it would be releasing both Bookworm and Bejeweled Twist as DS cartridges during this Holiday season (Bookworm) and the first quarter of 2010 (Bejeweled). Well, they decided to 'get ahead' and ALSO release them on DSiWare earlier: Bookworm hits DSiWare this month, while Bejeweled hits the download service next month.
I can honestly say that Bejeweled has been one of my favorite games of all time and were deeply saddened by the fact that it was NOT on the DS (a perfect platform for the game!) and that so many clones were. I was happy when PopCap announced the cart-versions, but I can honestly say I'd be happier if I owned a DSi and could enjoy Bejeweled Twist earlier...

Why, you ask? Mmmm...we don't know! But anyway, Interplay seems to think that particular franchise still has some cult following left in the world and has announced that it will be revamping the game and releasing it on BOTH WiiWare and DSiWare next summer (2010).
The guys responsible behind the remake are actually some of the original folks who worked on the original title, now operating under the label 'StudioBlack Games'. If the game will be an exact replica (and of which version) or if it will be a true successor is still unclear.

Remember that mysterious Tingle game that Nintendo of Japan has been
teasing for the last couple of weeks? Here's a surprise no one saw coming.
Whatever the title was ended up being a downloadable DSiWare title, which is available in Japan ... now. We don't know what the title actually
is, but from the screenshots, it looks to be some sort of collection of mini-apps, like a calculator, clock, etc.
While we wait for more details, feel free to check out more images at
ImageShack, and we'll be sure to keep you updated.
via GoNintendoUPDATE: GoNintendo has scans of the latest Famitsu, which seem to show ... Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland 2! A new retail Tingle game - that North America won't ever get! Two Tingle announcements in one day, what could be better? Answer: a lot.
