Japanese Release Dates for Disaster: Day of Crisis and Mario Baseball

, , , ...

We haven't heard anything about Disaster: Day of Crisis since E3 2007, where it was very briefly mentioned in an interview with Beth Llewelyn. The game was first shown at E3 2006, and most thought it had been left for dead. Luckily, Famitsu reminded us of the game, and even confirmed that it is indeed still coming out!

According to the Japanese magazine, the game is coming out on July 3 in Japan. Still no word on an American release date, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese date changes. Famitsu also announced a release date for Super Mario Stadium Family Baseball, which is due out on June 19 in Japan.

Personally, I've very pleased with any news about D:DoC. I've been interested in the game since it was revealed, and can only hope it's as good as it seems...

Mario Kart Wii is probably my most anticipated first party game of 2008. No, scratch that, it is my most anticipated first party game of 2008.

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu recently had a feature on the friggin awesome game, and confirmed that it was, in fact, friggin awesome. Famitsu confirmed a release date of April 10 in Japan, playable bikes in cup mode, special bike actions like wheelies, a total of sixteen courses, 12 players online, and Mii support. Oh my crap.

The new courses revealed were: Luigi Circuit, Moo Moo Country, Mushroom Canyon, Toad Factory, Mario Circuit, Coconuts Mall, DK Snowboard Cross, and Wario Mines. Returning courses include: Peach Beach (GC), Yoshi Falls (DS), Ghost Swamp 2 (SNES), Mario Circuit (N64), Sherbert Land (N64), Hey Ho Beach (GBA), Monty Town (DS), Waluigi Stadium (GC).

Other things confirmed include Baby Peach as a playable character, an online league and worldwide rankings, local rankings, a specific channel for the online portions of the game, the ability to send and receive time attack scores via WiiConnect24, the ability to send and receive ghosts, and possible GameCube controller support.
