UPDATE: The EvWiiwhere Album has been filled with the entries so far. Visit the album and use the star voting system at the bottom right corner of the images. You can submit entries here using the instructions below until the end of the global day, May 6th 2007. Then it will be all up to the votes in the remaining weeks of May.
PRIZES: What will the winners get? Since this is the internet and people can always find ways to cheat, the winners will be determined by the N+ Moderators who will take reader response, comments, and the star rating of each image into account, as well as the effort and creativity.
- 1st Prize: A Nintendo DS lite!
- 2nd Prize: A DS Browser!
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th Prize: MyOpera goodies
If you have any questions after reading, please send me a message through MyOpera.Wii has without a doubt captured the world's attention. From the predictions, to the breaking news, the surprises, features, style, size, and games, Wii has become a household name just as fast as 'Nintendo' did in the mid 80's.
Everywhere you turn, there's a commercial or store display. Every magazine cover is plastered with Wii news. Every store is trying to get you to trade in for Wii games. Every website's got a Wii news story almost daily. Wii is more than a success, it is a cultural phenomenon. Wii is everywhere. Well... almost. Let's have a little fun with the general public!
| Instruction Manual
- Be an N+ Member. If you aren't, Join Now.
- Take pictures of the word Wii spelled out in public. Don't just take a picure of the word; find it in unnatural places, or make it yourself out of things you found there (see my two glorious examples below).
- Post each picture as blogs to your MyOpera blog.
- Include one of the codes below in your EvWiiwhere posts by pasting it in before or after the image. (use tags like Nintendo, Wii, N+, and more to help others find them)
- Come here, and post a comment with a link right back to your blog letting us and the world know to check it out.
- N+ Moderators will 'farm' the images we find from our users, and put them all in a private gallery. The gallery will be unveiled after we gather a bunch of images at which point everyone will be able to vote, or support, their favorites by using the built in voting system (

) and comments... the more votes, the better... so tell your friends to join N+ and vote!

| Examples
| Power Ups
- If you make 5 seperate EvWiiwhere posts in your blog (with 5 comment links here), we'll do a blog post on N+ highlighting your submissions, and of course, link it back to your blog for extra attention.
- We'll look at the voting results and determine some winners, too. Expect some Nintendo and Opera themed prizes.
- The more entries we get, the more we're going to be able to give away. So go nuts!
- When the world downloads the Opera Browser for Wii, they may just find you highlighted in MyOpera.
The whole point is to show off how creative you can be, what you can find out there, and what you can leave for other people to discover, and for us to be able to link back to our readers' blogs in great number for once. N+ is only the sum of it's parts and we want to show off your blogs for once. Come up with the best images, and let us boost your traffic!
This is what an EvWiiwhere post should look like!
| The Fine Print
Look how fine this is! Doted imagines Bob Saget yelling "There's Wii everywhere!!" Challenge Art created by Khadgar, go look at his kicky new blog design. Larger versions of the examples are stored here. Man I really hope there's no typo's in this post... Have some fun... and try to keep up with me! Challenge submissions should be posted within the deadline posted above, to celebrate the Opera Browser for Wii Final Version release.

milestone, 500, N+, members
...
I have to be honest, I was a little worried soon after I had posted The Challenge. I even txt'd a few people saying "I either just made a big move, or a big mistake for N+" Because it wouldn't look very cool if we had, say 20 people join in a few weeks and had only a handful of new Members by the end of March. Instead, we had over 200 additional members join N+ and MyOpera in about half of the time I allowed. Bringing us past the 500 Member goal several weeks early! Awesome.
The Surge
Just asking people to spread the word seems to have had the greatest effect on numbers. The other was people joining who realized "I've been reading N+ often, but never realized you could join" some, partly because they were using the RSS/Widget function, others because they have very tiny eyes. Let's take a moment to make fun of them.
The Support
Usually the N+ Moderators are the ones that get credit for what's going on here, but you know us. I'd like to take an hour or so to gather a bunch of html together to honor a few people that you may not know are responsible for why you're a part of something that is going to be huge soon.
- N + Espen = Endless Support, 360o feedback, and countless thank you's back and forth.
- N + Fred = Revised look for N+ when browsing on Wii:eyes:, updated
code, both as suprises.
- N + Members like WiiDark, G-Off, Lutherjw, Khadgar, and ShoppingPenguin = Endless submissions, links to N+, humor, ManPony, and kicky fresh N+ Chat.
- N + Dr.Launch = That banging logo!
- N + Coxy = merging of http://my.opera.com/NintendoDS with N+
- N + Helmers = merging of http://my.opera.com/Wii with N+
- N + DaniGoldman = Linking to us from his powerful Opera Watch blog.
- N + FluffyBunny = A special Nintendo/Gaming/Opera/Etc. event in Europe this Summer
Yeah, for realz...
That actually took about an hour.

The above
code has been tweeked to be more Google friendly with a little help from Opera's excellent web designer Fred.
So like before, just copy and paste the entire code into your Opera about me section, use it in comments (try below!) and put it anywhere else you want to represent your status that accepts html (message boards, myspace, etc.).

N+, members, founders, 300
...
It seems we are growing in numbers faster than previously expected, but The Challenge still stands. Recently Secretly we've been looking for another female to assist with blogging, forum... foruming, and all around enplussing.*
Let me oficially introduce Beeks. This girl caught my eye when I saw a Wiimote and pink in the same picture. Actually, she found us.
With Nintendo and gaming no longer being dominated by teenage boys, it's about time we had another female voice around here to tell us what's up. Also an art student Beeks proves she's creative and has heart. With a passion for Nintendo and gaming that is backed by a stellar knowledge of the culture, she's a perfect fit. Also, if there are any guys out there upset that we didn't pick you as our latest moderator, perhaps you should have made cookies.
In all seriousness, I'd like everyone to welcome Beeks as our latest N+ Moderator. As we grow we will surely need more. So keep recruitting! And add an
badge to your About page with the code below!<a href="http://my.opera.com/Nplus/blog" title="N+ Founder"><img src="http://files.myopera.com/DotEd/albums/161273/N%2BFounder%20Gray.gif" alt="Nintendo Plus Founder"></a>
* enplussing is now officially a word.

update, founders, challenge, nplus
...
You know, yesterday I was thinking I should issue a challenge. To see if we could get 8 new members to bring us up to 300 by today. I didn't, and we hit the number anyway. Check out our Member List to see the latest N+ Members (hint: with the exception of the moderators on the first page, people are on the list in the order they joined). We've grown steadily over the months and have built an excellent community, active forums, a sexy blog, and kicky sweet content from our well informed members. Other sites are linking to us every day, so far we've been featured in over 110 blogs and over 22 gaming websites.
This got me thinking. I should issue a challenge to our 300 Members. A challenge against incredible odds...
I tried to think of something fun, rewarding, and kind of tough. Something that we can work together on. So here it is: Kill like a hundred thousand Persians.
Ha, no seriously... Lets try to get 500 N+ Members by the time Opera releases the Final Version of the Opera Browser for Wii, set for late March. Wha?! Don't worry, it's not nearly as difficult as killing 100,000 soldiers, but it's going to be tough. By working together, bringing in friends, brothers/sisters/cousins/coworkers/etc., promoting on our other personal sites with banners and links, spreading the word on N+ through message boards and other community sites, and spotlighting this blog (by clicking the spotlight link at the very top of the page) I am confident we can reach this number.
But Ed, you said this was going to be rewarding! Ah... well, it's hard to reward all 300 of you, some will undoubtedly work much harder than others, and many of the additional 200 will put in a great deal of effort as well. So I will proclaim the first 500 as N+ Founders. There will be a link in the Side Bar that will be a page that has all 500 of you named, honored, and of course, a link to your my.opera page. For those putting in even more effort, I will arrange something a little better, perhaps some Opera or Nintendo goodies (I have some stuff floating around here), and maybe we'll find out that we've got a future moderator in the ranks that we didn't even know about. This is your opportunity to really step it up and show us your support. So to see who is working the hardest, you can have the members you bring in leave a comment here letting everyone know who showed them the N+.
FOR SPARTA!
Update: I made an

badge to put in your about or blog pages. Just place the below code
<a href="http://my.opera.com/Nplus/blog" title="N+ Founder"><img src="http://files.myopera.com/DotEd/albums/161273/N%2BFounder%20Gray.gif" alt="Nintendo Plus Founder"></a>
in your profile, message board signature, or in a sticky blog on your site to brag while supporting
N+!
