Imagine a world where
Mr. T battles Nazi machines in rain forests, ancient cities, military complexes, and industrial facilities. In this same world
Will Wright gives up game designing and becomes a geneticist who is kidnapped and forced to hatch evil plots. But somehow the two join forces and attempt to end the evil that threatens the world - go ahead and just TRY to imagine it.
Now sit down, preferably on a toilet, because you might just crap yourself when we tell you this is a video game-in-the-works.
Zootfly is the developer behind the acid trip I just outlined, but don't blame them, the acid droppers were
Mohawk Media, the graphic novelistas who had this original idea in paper and ink form first.
ZootFly will develop a series of games packed with the trademark over-the-top adrenaline-pumping action of Mr. T.
The games will feature knuckle-whitening action-adventure, furious brawler combat, gravity-defying platforming, and environmental puzzles.
The first game will see Mr. T take on Nazis and their gigantic machines in the varied universe of South American rain forests, lost ancient cities, industrial complexes and contemporary military installations.
Along with Mr. T and other characters from the graphic novel, the game will feature non other than Will Wright. In this universe, Will Wright is not a top-notch game designer but a top-notch American geneticist who was kidnapped and coerced to work on a diabolic plan. Mr. T and Will Wright will join forces to annihilate the Nazis and their hardware.
Platforms include PS3, Xbox360, Wii and PC.

Chrono Trigger for the DS launched today in North America. For me, it's no big deal - I don't really care too much for the art style, though I do give credit to Akira Toriyama for sticking with his signiture and unique style, the one he used for Dragon Ball, DBZ, and a million other DB sagas.
The updated game (from Super Nintendo) allows for 2-4 players, a new dungeon, two other new areas, slightly reworked translations, a two-screen presentation, a touch-screen mode, anime opening cutscene, some new sprite animations, noticeably reworked music, and extras available after saving the game for the first time:
- Theater ('View in-game movies')
- Art Gallery ('View concept artwork')
- Music Box ('Listen to music tracks')
- Dojo ('View character tech skill information')
- Bestiary ('View detailed enemy information')
- Item Encyclopedia ('View item information')
The game is rated E10+

Thats right! N+'s
Jayvee and
Captain Seagull have a copy of Animal Crossing: City Folk! Wal-Mart has broken the street date so some Wal-Marts are selling them today instead of Sunday! So if you want to get your Animal Crossing fix in before Sunday, go look at your local Wal-Mart!
If you have any questions about the game that you want me or the Cap'n to answer, ask away in the comments!
+Update1: Before you are allowed to play the game though you are forced to preform a Wii system update.+Update2: Using the DS/Wii communication technology, when you start a new game you are allowed to migrate your character over from the "Wild World" into your "City Folk" game. You will not have any of the items or bells or clothing you have from Wild World, but you will have the same hair style, and part of the City Folk catalog at Nooks will be ready! Also, your character does not get deleted from Wild World!

We have all been slightly confused on the nature of "moving between the DS and Wii" in
Animal Crossing: City Folk. And if you were not confused, then you were sure of something - that was WRONG, or if you were right, why didn't you tell us? Anyway we got clear news here:
Turn your DS on and put it in
DS Download Play mode. There is no need for
Wild World. In City Folk you will have the ability to move your character and his held items to the DS. DO NOT turn off the DS, just fold it shut when the download is complete. Now when you venture out of your house, and to a friends house.. in real life, you can then upload this character to your friends town to use! Anything that changes with your character will only be saved if you move the character back to the DS and back to your City Folk. But don't worry, should something happen like the DS gets turned off before you make it back home, you will only have to suffer the loss of whatever you did, and the wrath of Resetti. You won't lose your character, and will probably keep all the items you had when you left your town.

First, let me say that the plot involved in this game is getting confusing, some places are putting as an assassin game, others are reporting it as a murder mystery. I'm starting to feel that both are sort of true. But you are NOT the assassin. You are solving a murder mystery carried out by an assassin. The game also does play out sort of what the trailer calls "groundhog day style". Every day you play is the same day, over and over again until you can solve the case. Bill Murray rocked in Groundhog Day, go rent it. Aaaanyway, N+ has the
Flower, Sun, Rain gallery in effect now! Yay! The image shown to the right is a wallpaper too

Pretty sweet huh?
Read more if you are interested in the Japanese live-action trailer, and the in-game action trailer. It's pretty strange to notice that the game graphically looks a little lacking on the DS even though this came from the Playstation huh? I guess game designers have learned a lot of tricks in these years to make things look better with less space huh?

Sometimes the best thing to do when announcing a new game is to not really hype it up, but to just deliver the facts. Because when the facts are what they are, it's all the hype it needs...
Facts:
- Game: Flower, Sun, and Rain
- Written By: Suda51 (No More Heroes, Killer7)
- Platform: DS
- Launch EU: November 08
- Launch NA: 2009
Well maybe I can spill a little more info, see it used to be a relatively text heavy Playstation game that only came out in Japan. But what with all the money DS games make, it only makes sense to port a Suda51 game to it right? I mean we all love the 51 stories, who doesnt love assassins, and when you throw this together on an island resort, what the heck can you argue with?

Advanced Wars started out on the Gameboy advance, was sort of spun-off as Battalion Wars on Gamecube, made it's way to the DS as a huge hit with Advance Wars: Dual Strike, sort of spun-off again on the Wii as Battalion Wars ii (BWii), and is now comming back to the DS with a much darker tale, and darker artwork and music to match. There is also a new vehicle in the game that looks super neat for a strategy game: The motorcycle with sidecar. I am very pumped about this game, and the release dates sort of snuck up on us into THIS MONTH:
US: January 21, 2008
Europe: January 25, 2008
Australia: January 25, 2008
Japan: NA 2008To REALLY get yourself excited check out one of the neatest
official game websites to grace the net, it rivals the official
Animal Crossing: Wild World website... seriously check it out for videos and screenshots of in-game

Ultra impressive, ultra stylized, and
ultra cosplayed No More Heroes is getting everyone pumped, especially those who live in the violent US. Wait why did I go there? Well we all know it's because of the Manhunt 2 thing, ya know what with us actually getting the game rated, and Europe not even giving it a rating, but it's not JUST that...
The Japanese (of all versions) got the game without blood, it is confirmed that when Europe gets the game it will be without blood, but when the US gets this bad boy, we get blood, and more blood, probably enough blood to make-up for the other regions lack of blood. If you don't believe me "Read More" for a sweet video showing off alot of the game, it's somthing Europe would like to watch any way because it shows off some new side jobs, explains a few allies, and more into the neat cloathing feature... But be warned, the video is mature in the "violence/blood" area...

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was one game I really thought was somthing that Wii gamers were going to miss out on. I thought I was going to have to go over a buddies house to play this. See for me there STILL arent the exclusive games on 360 that warrent a purchase of the system - but thats another tale... well actually this news helps me stay away from the purchase of a 360. I KNOW I want to play RE5 and 360 will be my only option (sure ps3 will get it, but who gets a ps3?) for that game, and I thought SW:FU was the same deal...
But it's not! and at this rate I will never have to buy a 360! - The Force Unleashed has been 100% confirmed to be on it's way to the Wii system (
Spring 2008), with of coarse, motion sensing goodness and a Wii exclusive game mode. With the Wii build players can...
... live out their fantasies by wielding the Wii remote as a lightsaber while using the nunchuk controller to torment foes with their Force powers... The Wii is a great platform for The Force Unleashed, because the console's motion-oriented controllers really bring the game to life, We've worked hard to make the Wii version of the game unique in order to truly let you unleash the Force... players can [also] compete head-to-head with their friends to determine the ultimate Jedi Master. - Jim Ward, president of LucasArts
The official website has yet to be updated with a Wii logo image, hopefully soon...
Who else is pumped?!

Oh, AAAAND the most ferocious Nintendo collection I've ever seen. Ever. And I've seen the Internet. This collection may not have "every NES game ever with books" (well, I dunno, it may) but it certainly spans more decades than anyone else's that I've seen, has the widest variety, and left me so speechless, that I couldn't think of a title for this post and I threw my box for Ping Pals into orbit. He had sent these pictures to Neeecole who forwarded them on to me.
Check out the last page of the Member Hardware Album, but first, tie your belt around your chair. All of those tags are intentional.

I don't know how many of you played Manhunt on the PS2 or the XBOX, but I did, and I loved it. I, along with
my cousin, played through every level obtaining five stars on the brutal "hardcore" setting. - Anyway my gloating is besides the point, the point is, that the super-ultra-massiv-hardcore killing game has a sequal comming out on psp, ps2, and Wii. This isn't exactly new news though,
we already have reported on it. However today I will be showing you a second teaser video, as well as screenshots. The second video, which can be found when you click "read more", does show off much more than the original trailer does, which will also be included for easy referencing.

preview, NiGHTS, sega, saturn
...
"Walu walu waulu walu OOMF! tell me more tell me more!" - I know this song all to well. Let's just say you are about 8 years old and you are playing a demo in a store near christmas time. The demo has your character flying and spining and looping around the air of a world where the ground is above and below you, and you are dressed in this awesome purple outfit. You are enveloped by the game, you MUST have it even though you can't figure out exactly waht to do yet. You ask for it, but you can't understand why you can't have it because it's a sega game. So? Sega games are made for Nintendo's right? (remember when video game systems were ALL called Nintendo?). No, they won't. Well let's just say that this particular Sega system tanked very early on in it's life and was never heard from again.
But as you grow up, you have this burning desire to find this game, no matter what the cost, the treasure hunt continues. And out of some twisted luck of unbelievable fate, NiGHTS Into Dreams for the Sega Saturn shows up in a used game shop for about 10 dollars. It comes with the box, the instructions, AND the special 3D gamepad! You swoop it up and feel as if you just recieced the Nobel Prize for solving world hunger, you feel that good! Even though you still have to wait till you can find the rumored "recalled and destroyed" system. In a couple years you find it at the same shop and pick it up for 20-30 bucks.
You get home, set the thing up, and live a piece of your childood that was stolen from you, and STILL feel as if the game is ahead of it's time, somehow flying in this game has exceeded all other games of free character flight. It is just so darned fluid! - So the end of the story is, that you love the hell out of this VERY hard to find, super obscure game.
Fast-forward to today, you have been hearing rumors of a supposed sequal or remake being made. You, as an ultra fanatic of the game MUST deny these claims, because if you begin to believe, you will destroy yourself if they are false. That and the original creator has left Sega anyway. Rumors start surfacing saying that it will be Wiixclusive to your new favorite video game console, the one with the sweet controllers built from the ground up for motion sensing. You MUST deny these claims. BUT, now, you read how official the rumors really were! NiGHTS will be returning to our living rooms in a sequal for Wii!! - The Captain then rushes to the bathroom to avoid crapping his pants!
Appearantly "NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams" IS a sequal, and NOT a remake. This game has a new dream world, A new stage, a and a new story. So far we don't know if the children characters are the same or not. But the one we truely care about is NiGHTS himself. In the old game you were either a boy or a girl character who went to bed so you could enter the dream world and take control of NiGHTS so you could save dreams. Nightmare creatures were replacing all the dreams with nightmares. The more lucid your dream was, the better off you were, you could control NiGHTS most of the time, but if you took to much time or damage, you began to wake up loosing the ability to control the flying jester. Resorting to running around as the kid, without the awesome music, and the level began to fade away.
Here is the official press release for NA and the UK: "In 1996, under the concept of 'a refreshing feeling of flight,' we created Nights, a character of the world of dreams who dances through the skies. Eleven years later, the long silence broken, Nights will soar through a new dream world. A new stage, a new story, and a new plaftorm, the Wii. Please look forward to the new adventure of Nights and friends."
"We plan to deliver a gameplay experience never before seen on the Wii with NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams," said Scott A. Steinberg, vice president of marketing, SEGA of America. "The game takes full advantage of the unique Wii Remote controller enabling gamers to guide NiGHTS through spectacularly designed dream worlds intertwined with a story about hope and courage."
So far the release date is vague in "2007", with a so far exclusivity to Wii.

To the untrained eye I have been posting nothing but videos lately, but to the trained eye, I have been iparting speculation and hopefully excitement into your Nintendo minded, er, minds.
heh, well, um. Here are some videos featuring my next
100% Must Own DS game. The game appears to be held book style, a la "Brain Age". Let it be known that I am a HUGE fan of the noir (sometimes spelled noire) genre in books and movies, and games...
(dirty little secret: I loved both Max Paynes)
This second video is shorter than the first one. Also 100% of this footage is in the first one, but the quality is way better, espessialy in the sound department.
So yeah, this game looks great eh? I love my noir, and this fits the bill. The visuals also remind me of that new movie starring Keanu Reeves and Robert Downy JR,
A Scanner Darkly- Captain Seagull
