Finally we can give you a prize update! My package arrived carrying all sorts of Opera fan swag! I can mail these anywhere to the continental United States. I can try to get these to other parts of the world, but you may have to pay a small shipping fee Sorry folks. Everyone get ready for the 2009 Halloween Costume CoN+est! This year, we have decided to open up the rules a little bit to get more people in on the fun. Just some basic rule changes though. The biggest thing we have changed is to open this to all video game characters! I know, I know, this is a Nintendo blog, right? We just can't contain our nerdy selves when we see other nerds in video game garb. You wanna be Master Chief and compete against Waluigi and Wario? Do it, we dare you! Are you a Sackboy fan? We bet you can't go toe to toe with Infernape! Oh, and what if you don't wanna dress up, but your puppy or kitty does?! DO IT! I swear if I see a pug dressed up as a Shy-Guy, I might die crying out of laughter! Oh, and the animals are allowed to pick any game character too. However, due to the complex nature of PC and Mac related characters and what IS or IS NOT related to the "game-machine" we will not be able to accept any characters from these "consoles". As you know, we also take costumes related to machines themselves (one very close runner up dressed as a Wii-Remote, another dude dressed as an item box from Mario), so items and physical real life relations count - just not from computers. Sorry guys a USB Keyboard costume is not up for entry (however we will still show the photos ).

So yeah, all you fans who wanted to go as a Sony, Xbox, or old time Sega exclusive can enter this year, and so can your pets! Just remember this, if you enter as a team, you win as a team - no triple prizes Pikmin Team! Enter together or as rivals!

Luigi is a big fraidy cat, so naturally he would dislike Halloween a lot right? Well this year he especially hates it because his poor brother Mario became a zombie, along with Rosalina and arch-rival Waluigi! They are hungry and they want to Eat Luigi's braaaaaaiins.... Watch out Luigi!

This year N+ celebrates halloween with Captain Seagull's "Zombies VS Luigi" Header image, and our 2nd Costume CoN+est with sweet WiiPoints as prizes! I recommend getting that costume started now, you only have till the end of the month to wear it on Halloween, although you can still enter your pictures within the first week of November. And of course you can get a super mega sweet wallpaper of this header in the N+ Design gallery.

N+ is going to have our second Costume CoN+est! Last year was awesome, but because it was our first one we had a problem with getting Opera to deliver the prizes they promised.

We are letting you guys know NOW that there will be a contest because it could take a little while to get a costume together. Trust me, I know. Happy Halloween N+! While N+ has been around for last years Halloween day, we really had nothing going to celebrate it with all of you. So this year can be called our first Halloween right? Anyway I hope most of you are out grubbing up candy, remember while trick-or-treating to use a pillow case for your goody bag, those never rip and hold a ton of cany! for the older audience who can no longer get candy from marching in awestumes, I at least hope you are playing games like Resident Evil 4, Dimentium: The Ward, or Manhunt 2 to celebrate.

Also I have a question for all of you. Ed and I were discussing how to judge this years costume coN+est. And we thought it would be fun if we could also enter. But who would judge? well, we figured it out! If you guys are ok with moderator entries than what we would do is have everyone who is an N+ Member vote in the picture comments. Each member can vote for their favorite costume (not there own) with a 1, 2, and 3 place. so in essence tell us who you think is the best, the runner up, and the 3rd place. OR we could have a poll on the side! but there may be dificulty tracking votes that way :/

Anyway please leave a comment with how you think this should be judged, if mods can enter. I think if mods can enter it actually makes it more fair for members who happen to be friends with the mods, that way noody feels like we voted for theirs out of friendship. This is just for fun everyone!

N+ EDIT: I actually forgot one of the bigger ponts of this blog! - I want to remind everyone that you can still do costumes stuff it's not too late to enter your pictures! November 7th is the last day for you to enter your pictures!

Well folks! you have two weeks left to get your costume ready for Halloween! Technically you have 3 weeks left to make one for our contest, remember you have one week after Halloween to get your pictures submitted. We want you guys to have fun for the holiday too though!

So far we have a few entries in the coN+est gallery, get in there and cheer them on with comments! Moderators are choosing the winners, but there still may be the "members favorite point" added in! and even though there are only a few it's not over yet! I have a mailbox with alot of questions concerning entries and such, so other members are actually getting ready to snap some pictures! This is your shot at getting those 3 games you always wanted but couldn't get! Don't forget to keep yourself updated with all the current rules, and if you have a question that isn't answered in that post, ask me! If you would like to see an example on how to take some fun coN+est entry pictures then follow me!
