There is super sweet New Year's music, and a big countdown. Have fun! What are your New Year's resolutions? Play more games? Play LESS games? Tell us in comments!

Earlier this week, N+ brought you a first look at the brand new Opera DSi web browser running on the system. Now, thanks to Scandinavian magazine GamesReactor, we're able to bring you a first look at the second version of Opera for the Wii.

According to GamesReactor, the new version of the popular Wii Internet Channel will include many new features, including new buttons, Wii Speak compatibility, the ability to view your Wii mail directly from the browser, and the option to have as many as six tabs open at one time, viewable in a cube, as seen in the image to the right.

Version 2 of the Internet Channel will launch in December and cost 500 Wii Points. It will be available as a free upgrade to those who own the previous version.

Nintendo Reveals WiFi Network Adapter

, , , ...

Sure, Miyamoto said not to expect any new peripherals, but what does that really mean? It's time for a new peripheral!

Famitsu got the scoop on a Japan-only device, the "Nintendo WiFi Network Adapter." Basically a Nintendo branded router, the WiFi Network Adapter aims to be a casual friendly way to get your system online. The WiFi Network Adapter can be used with your DS, Wii, and PC. The WiFi Network Adapter will go on sale at Nintendo of Japan's website on September 18th, for 5800 yen (approximately $53).

Nothing has been announced in terms of a launch outside of Japan, yet we wouldn't be surprised if it made its way to America and Europe.

The Adobe Flash-enabled trial version of the Opera browser puts the Internet right onto owners’ television screens and lets them browse with ease, enabling them to check sports scores, plot maps or visit their favorite Web sites. Multiple family members can gather around the television to plan a holiday or make online purchases.

The pointing abilities of the Wii Remote allow users to click on links they want to see or to zoom into any part of the screen through the motion of the controller. In addition, the Wii Remote can be used with an on-screen keyboard to make text entry as easy as point and click.

The day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday is the #1 shopping dizzay of the year, offline and on because all the overweight Americans have off from work.

The chart shows the popularity of “weekly search terms driving traffic to the Shopping & Classifieds category,” of sites online according to Tancer’s blog.
