Earlier today at Satoru Iwata's keynote, Bill Trinen from Treehouse Group unveiled Nintendo's new storage solution for the Wii: the SD Card Menu.

Available now via the Wii System Menu 4.0 update, the SD Card Menu allows for support of SDHC card (up to 32 GB) and the ability to download titles directly to the SD card. GDC 09: Rock and Roll Climber Revealed

, , , ...

Though we've known about it for a while now (thanks to the ESRB) Nintendo president Satoru Iwata today announced a new first-party WiiWare game: Rock and Roll Climber. Rock and Roll Climber seems like a simple rock climbing game - use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to move your arms, use the Wii Balance Board to move your feet.

The real fun begins, however, when you reach the top of the mountain, as you're given a guitar and you're told to rock out. I know what you're thinking: "... what?"

We'll have more information as Rock and Roll Climber's release date draws nearer.

As GDC is a conference for developers, not news outlets, we should know better than to get our hopes up for juicy news. Nevertheless, we can't wait to see what comes out of the conference.

Just for historical reference, Iwata has addressed the GDC attendees before. In 2005, Iwata revealed the first details of the Wii, then code-named Revolution. The following year, Iwata unveiled The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Link's first (and only) outing on the Nintendo DS.

I decided I wanted to SEE what Iwata spoke about for threeleven hours during his speech at the Nintendo Media Summit 2008. Here is a word cloud I made where the larger words are used more, with the full text of the speech after the break.
