Jayvee wanted to celebrate Sonic's 20th birthday by decorating N+ with a classic Sonic stage: Green Hill Zone! Even though Sonic's birthday was in June, it was late June (the 23rd to be exact) so if we were to round-out wich month we should celebrate... it would be now, in July! So what does everyone think of the new page? It certainly is much brighter than the Lake of Rage we had last month, and also a lot less frightening. We have to switch moods into a bright, sunny, summer feel now, and Sonic is here to get us there fast!
If you want a full-sized wallpaper of this months artwork, or ANY of the previous N+ artwork in our entire history, please visit the N+ Art Gallery, we stash all of our wallpapers, and screenshots of how N+ used to look throughout our evolution in there, it's really a nice place to visit if you are new to N+ and a nice trip down memory lane if you are a long time veteran of the site
Justin Vigil is this months artist, and he brings to you: Okamiden. The guy has been nuts about the game since it came out, and more often than not has it on in his 3DS ruining any chances he has at street passing people! Well, the pup is a cute little guy and makes an adorable replacement for last months hideous Earthworm Jim face staring right at you. It's a good thing we have multiple artists contributing to the site huh? hahaha.
If you think the design is pretty nifty, why not get yourself the wallpaper from the N+ Design Gallery? What do you guys think of Jayvee's fan-art?
There has been a ton of speculation lately involving Nintendo's next gen console, that rumar has it is called "Project Cafe" for now. Here we have gathered up many of the rumors we have found around the interwebs. I know that the Miyamoto/Pikmin cartoon here makes you feel like Pikmin 3 is on the way to Cafe, but sadly that is NOT what we have heard yet, it's just something we want to happen.
First, a 3DS rumor: - much-loved FPS getting a 'port' to 3DS (most likely Conduit, which we have seen in the works)
This month the artistic visual theme for N+ is 3DS and Friends (some of the moderators being the friends), because by the end of this month, anyone with enough cash and a decent video game shop nearby should be able to get one almost anywhere in the world.
The theme for N+ reflects us as our video game counterparts - as the artist Justin Vigil sees us anyway. He drew himself as Snake, .Ed as Travis Touchdown, myself as a Red Pikmin, and Dustin Wilson as... Tingle. You can also find in this wacky rendition our love of Opera, Tacos, and the necessary "paper work" needed for saving games, after enjoying tacos of course.
If you would like a desktop wallpaper version of this, or any other months artistic styling please visit the N+ Design gallery. Its also filled with screenshots of how the site looked at each of it's designed stages. And as a shameless plug for myself, I drew the 3DS system in this piece as well as the taco, Opera flag, and roll of TP. And because we know how much you all LOVED the Cho Aniki artwork of last month, we decided to force let you all enjoy it for another month by placing it in the bottom screen of the 3DS. Just watch out for the combined Mens Beam four of us mods can create... scary stuff!
Hey everyone! You didn't think that we would forget that this month Pokemon Black and Pokemon White launch over in Japan did you? well you shouldn't have thought that, because we didn't forget! In fact my Japanese Black version should be on it's way to me sometime very soon after the launch
Well to celebrate the nifty new game mechanic of Combo Attacks, Jayvee and I thought we would attempt to combo attack the header in a double battle! Jayvee presents Female Trainer and a very cool but simple black and white background (that matches the site super awesome), and I sent out Koromori, the new bat-like Pokemon. We hope you enjoy it, I think it's very pleasing to the eye color wise.
N+ is going to have multiple ways to experience E3 Live! This post is dedicated to the Live Chat! Get news as it happens provided by N+ Live from the L.A. Convention Center!
Looks like SEGA is making another Sonic Racing game... this time for the Wii and DS! But this time he will be joined by his SEGA co-stars. What do you guys think? I think SEGA is trying to make Sonic like Mario and have him star in every game genre possible... Might be helpful if his games weren't sub-par compared to the Mario Games! Below is the debut trailer:
This week we are treated to 2 new games, Kirby's Dreamland 3 and Sandy Beach!
WIiWare
NEW+ Sandy Beach (Konami, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone—Comic Mischief, 500 Wii Points):
Enjoy a fun day at Sandy Beach as you build elaborate sand castles. You can work peacefully on your sand castle or enter into a battle with invading crabs in Crab Battle mode. Players will strategically build their sand castle and use cannons to defend it against an army of destructive crabs. After successfully defending your sand castle, discover beach treasures and additional cannons with your metal detector to customize your castle even more.
The updated list of NA WiiWare titles can be found here, along with the PAL WiiWare titles here.
Virtual Console
NEW+ Kirby's Dream Land 3 (Super NES™, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points):
Kirby, Dream Land's resident hero (and everyone's favorite puffball), must once again save the day when the mischievous King Dedede starts causing trouble. Kirby must travel through an assortment of levels, battling an exotic array of enemies (both new and familiar) determined to stop him from completing his mission. Always armed with his trusty ability to swallow enemies and gain special attacks, Kirby can also unite with some of his animal friends and make use of their particular talents. Featuring detailed graphics, challenging boss battles and the distinct charm of a Kirby game, it's no wonder this title is considered a classic.
The updated list of NAVC games can be found here, along with the PAL VC games here.
I've played Kirby's Dreamland 3 and its pretty fun. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is thinking about purchasing it. Not as good as Kirby Superstar, but definitely a solid Kirby game! Let us know what you think of this week's releases in the comments!
Welcome to N+. This December we bring you a header of Animal Crossing goodness... with Holiday festivities! This header wasn't created by myself. It wasn't created by the Cap'n. It was created by Jayvee! I'm not sure what everything is! I've never played Animal Crossing, but it sure looks weird and nice!
+Update: The wallpaper and the screenshot are now in effect! Thanks for Jayvees great effort in making December festive and Animal Crossy!
Thats right! N+'s Jayvee and Captain Seagull have a copy of Animal Crossing: City Folk! Wal-Mart has broken the street date so some Wal-Marts are selling them today instead of Sunday! So if you want to get your Animal Crossing fix in before Sunday, go look at your local Wal-Mart!
If you have any questions about the game that you want me or the Cap'n to answer, ask away in the comments!
+Update1: Before you are allowed to play the game though you are forced to preform a Wii system update. +Update2: Using the DS/Wii communication technology, when you start a new game you are allowed to migrate your character over from the "Wild World" into your "City Folk" game. You will not have any of the items or bells or clothing you have from Wild World, but you will have the same hair style, and part of the City Folk catalog at Nooks will be ready! Also, your character does not get deleted from Wild World!
I have a soft spot for things like this. This guy wanted to propose to his girlfriend, so he decided to hack into the ROM of Chrono Trigger (the game she was playing at the time) and alter an entire area to tell her how he felt. At the end of the area, a shining knight appears and pops the question to her in the game. (AAAWWW) Check out the video below to see the area. For the record I would totally do this if I knew how to hack ROMS, haha.
In case you didn't know, I'm a total Ace Attorney nerd! So I cannot wait to play 'Perfect Prosecutor' starring Wright's rival, Miles Edgeworth! Below is the TGS Trailer with subtitles! Thanks to Court-Records.net for the translated video!
When you close it with a page open, then open it that page automagically opens? On the program toolbar go through: Opera > Settings > Preferences. In the "General" tab, you will see "Startup". Select how you want that to operate ;)
