Dead or Alive: Dimensions is the latest title in the Dead or Alive fighting franchise, currently slated for release on the 3DS on May 24th (in North America). At 60fps, this game looks fantastic, and it's sure to be a treat for fans of the series thus far. It's been announced that there are 25 playable characters in the game, more than in any of the previous DoA titles. The game is also set to include a level based off of Metroid: Other M, which was also developed by Team Ninja. In this level, Ridley seemingly flies around the arena, and at times grabbing the players and dragging their faces all over the walls. And while Samus is not a playable character, she does make an appearance at the end of the level, to somehow aid players.
But why should our favorite heroine-in-a-power-suit be left out of the fun? Let's talk about why Samus would be perfect as a playable character.
Anton already mentioned this in the 2Q Release post, but I can't help but make it a big deal. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS has an official release date: JUNE 19th!!
This image is an accurate description of my feelings and/or actions upon the moment when I read this news this morning.
OoT3DS is NOT a direct port of the greatest game of all time, but a REMAKE - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo64. The new 3DS version includes vastly updates graphics, and entirely new and awesome control scheme specialized for the 3DS, better inventory management, an additional "C Button" slot (which I think is CHEAP), the ability to use the 3DS gyroscope for your first person viewpoints and your slingshot/boomerang/fairy bow aiming.
Most importantly, the game includes the ability to select the Master Quest, which is the same plot, but changes the insides of the dungeons to be much more difficult and intense.
Be sure to go out and pre-order this amazing game!
So, in addition to the "classic" quest, you can also select to play the "Master Quest" when playing the 3DS remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It's not yet clear weather the Master Quest is unlockable at some point, or if you get to choose to begin this quest the very minute you start the game, but one thing is for sure, this purchase is now much more worth the price...
This video shows off a bunch of the wireless interactions the 3DS allows while playing, and in Street-Pass mode. The start of the video also shows off some 3D View footage, where the playing field is turned slightly so you can see from behind your character, kinda like Leon in RE4.
I could try to write something clever to go along with this video removed by copyright claim by Nintendo, but I'm too busy writhing in excitement. Credit for the yanked video goes to Nintendo 3DS Blog. Also, check after the break for some juicy Mario Kart 3D footage.
My eyes are dancing in excitement like Mario's pupils!
de Blob 2 will hit the shelves next February, and this time, it promises to deliver an enhanced experience over the original. Pure speculation on my behalf, I still haven't played the original

Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon is the second installment of the interesting RPG series set in the Harvest Mooniverse. Already released in Japan this past January, it's hitting stores Stateside in November, and in the UK in October (PAL packshot shown to the left)!
A bunch of high-quality artwork and no-quality screenshots were released today, so hit the jump for them and the latest press release, detailing the announcement of the October 8th PAL release.
Oh snap, so Epic Mickey is going to be really freaking rad, and they just unveiled a bunch of stuff at PAX. Hit the jump for goodies like the Official Box Art, a selection of Screenshots, and the Entire Introduction Video. Those capitalizations are completely superfluous.
Anyway, hit the jump for more of Disney's new beauty.
UPDATE: The official release date for the game is November 1st., 2010 (right around the corner!)
A new trailer and some new artwork has been released for Kirby's Epic Yarn for the Nintendo Wii. This game looks so killer, I think I'm gonna die. Mostly from looking at Kirby and saying "AWWWWWWWWWW!!!" really loudly the entire time that I play. The artwork available is the logo to the right, Kirby in a flying saucer, and Kirby in a robotic tank. We've also got the boxart.
Video and art after the break. Kirby's Epic Yarn is set for release on October 17, and is rated E for Everyone.
We have a new photo album here on N+ for Metroid: Other M. Over a hundred of these gorgeous and high-res screenshots were released earlier, and I just had to share. They show Samus shooting the air for a bit, and then move on to a cut scene involving other soldiers.
Disney Epic Mickey is going to be crazy. with the ability to erase and create anything? It's like a third person Mario Paint. Here's the first 4 and a half minutes of the intro video. Interesting bit about this, it's the UK version.
I don't know what makes it so special for the UK, but there ya go.

“The Sims series continues to be one of the most successful videogames of all time by providing universally appealing content and focusing on the player’s imagination, emergent gameplay mechanics, and the innate humor evident in the virtual world of The Sims,” said Scott Evans, General Manager of The Sims Studio. “We’re building on this foundation and applying new features that will make for a robust, deep and rewarding gameplay experience. I’m extremely proud of the game that the team is making and can’t wait to bring these exciting new features like “Karma Powers” to life and get them into players’ hands.”
Not too exciting, but they released the packshot for Madden NFL 11 for the Wii. This is the North American packshot, so it might change for other regions.
Madden NFL 11 is set to be released sometime in August, 2010.
