Welp, it's all almost over now! Nintendo has been spreading out all kinds of sweet Pokemon as of late, and it's about to wrap things up with the current generation monsters and go exclusive Black and White! Zoroark is still available to Japanese game owners, while Victini is coming early next month. For now though make sure you get:

Pokemon Event Update: Legendary Beasts

It looks like the "European Only" WiFi Mystery Gift Shiny Beast event *breath*, is ALSO available in North America! It just hasn't been really advertised too much, but I have tested this myself and it is real.

I have updated all the information in the N+ Event Pokemon Database to reflect this, but have yet to update the countdowns, I'm at my other job right now so you will have to wait until I am off the clock - Yeah, I Enpluss everywhere I can.

It's pretty much the same beasts that were available in the Gamestop promotions, EXCEPT with the one difference, The new Original Trainer is: WIN2011

Rumor: Catch Celebi

There appears to be nothing standing out about this rumor that would suggest it is false, it even takes place after the Shiny Beast Event, but because it is not yet 100% confirmed, we will keep it as rumor for now. Here is what the "leaked" info says about the event Pokemon give-away as found on Serebii.net:


New Event - Celebi
Details for the US release of the Pokémon Celebi have been leaked upon the Internet. From February 27th 2011 to March 7th 2011 you'll be able to go to Gamestop stores across America and download the Celebi to Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold & SoulSilver. This Celebi has two special features. First, in HeartGold & SoulSilver, you can take it to Ilex Forest where you'll get to time travel and learn some of the Rocket backstory. Then, when you send to Black & White through the Transfer Machine, you'll be able to take it to the GameFreak headquarters in Castelia City and get Zorua. We'll bring more details, including confirmation, as and when we can.

Donkey Kong Returns: Gamestop Swag

Yes, that's right! If you pre-order Donkey Kong Country Returns before the game releases (that's why the call it a PRE order), you can get this nifty Banana Hammock! Yay!

No, this isn't the speedo kind, it's really just a sleeve you can hide your Wii Remote in, with the cushion pillow and all. I don't think that this is going to hide my Wii Remote, it looks like it wouldn't be worth retrieving every time I wanted to cross some animals or smash some brothers, no I think it may be some sort of pencil pouch, or better yet, a DS Game carry case! you could probably carry most of your collection in there with some extra styli to boot!

Donkey Kong Country games rock the house so hard that the gorilla falls off the wall anyway, I really don't think this nifty little item was necessary for the company to put out, but you won't hear me complaining! My biggest hope now is that pop-culture type shops that sell t-shirts will start carrying Donkey Kong stuff, man how I have always wanted some DKTees.

Catch Scizor: From Pokemon Movie 13

This special Wi-Fi event is available to all Japanese generation IV games: Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. I found out that many people are not really sure what makes this Scizor so special, it doesn't have any moves it can't normally learn, it isn't shiny, no ultra-special item is attached, so why bother downloading the Scizor? for me it just makes completing the Dex faster, plus I can never resist getting a Pokemon that sleeps in a Cherish Ball! Poke Beach says that this Scizor is special because the original trainer is from the 13th movie "The Ruler of Illusions: Zoroark", he is called Goon, and is Kodai’s bodyguard. Other than that here are his stats:

Catch Jirachi: Again

Remember when you could catch Jirachi, that one with the special move: Draco Meter, holding a Leichi berry? It arrived inside a Cherish Ball... well if missed out last time don't worry, Serebii.net reports that she has returned, and is now available for all generation 4 games: Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, and Soul Silver. If you actually downloaded this the first time to Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum you can't get this download again to the same game. However, Heart Gold and Soul Silver were not yet released, so if you have since then got a hold of either of the new games, you can download this Jirachi to them as well, even if you already traded the other Jirachi to your HG or SS game. So who wants a second one?

Pokemon Event: Yellow Forest

Serebii.net reports that the U.S.A (and possibly even Europe + Australia) will be getting a special WiFi Mystery Gift Pikachu. The Pikachu will open up a new Pokewalker course when transfered into the device.

The super special course is called Yellow Forest and is home to six different Pikachu types. One of the Pikachu knows Surf, and another one knows Fly! And remember that you can catch Pokemon in the Pokewalker. The event lasts from April 1st 2010 to April 30th 2010.

Catch Shiny Pichu!

North American residents are going to be able to catch a special Shiny Pichu (colored like Pikachu) at Gamestops from January 30th 2010 through February 14th!

Think having the special color Pichu is cool? What would you say if this Pichu, when transferred to Heart Gold or Soul Silver (Feb 14th) unlocks a super cool encounter in the Ilix forest? Yeah, you pretty much get to meet another special Pichu in the forest who has a notched-ear. Why? Hmmmm, you may just want to see for yourself, I don't want to spoil anything for you, but just keep this in mind: have room in your party for one more Pokemon wink

Blue Liight Special: Free NES Title?!

Cool new Wii update today: the Internet Channel is free once again! Anyone who bought the Internet Channel for 500 Wii points before can download one free NES title so long as it costs 500 points! Just run the update people! Oh, and you have to make sure to download it before 11:59 PM PST on December 31st, 2009.

On a sad side-note though, if you were one of those who originally downloaded the beta Internet Channel and were allowed to upgrade for free, you will NOT be getting this free NES download sad Man, I really wanted SMB3!

Arceus Approaches

It looks like an Arceus event may be coming up! and this time it's confirmed for all three Pokemon games: Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum! Stay tuned for more information as it drops, and we can give you instructions on how to catch this Event-Only Pokemon!

The Pokemon Arceus has been discovered! Little is known about the Normal-type Pokemon, but it's been confirmed that the rare Pokemon is number 493 in the National Pokedex. And what other mysteries surround this pokemon?

Areceus is headint to Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Pearl, and Pokemon Platinum Version games, but like Shaymin and Darkrai, Arceus is a Pokemon that won't appear during normal gameplay. We'll have more details soon on how you can get Arceus into your game.

In addition to Pokemon Diamond, Pokemon Pearl, and Pokemon Platinum Version, Arceus will make an appearance in the next Pokemon movie, as well as in a future Pokemon Trading Card Game expansion!

Heart And Soul: Special Pokemon

Serebii.net reports that the special colored Pichu, given away during 12th movie event, from June 19th to July 18th (which I believe is Japan only), when transferred to Heart Gold and Soul Silver from Diamond and Pearl, and then brought to the Ilex Forest, brings about a special "Notched Ear" Pichu!

This rises speculation on to other special Pokemon - are they all going to be events like this? WILL there be more? Will Celebi no longer appear at this shrine? What say you?
