dead space, seagull, wii, release

September 29. There, does that get any more blunt?
EA reports that they are going to (try) to release the mature Wii title "Dead Space Extraction" before Halloween, which is perfect for getting in the spooky mood. I am already planning the costume contest, I suggest you start brainstorming

.
New features include co-op gameplay as well as new weapons and enemies! Huzzah! For me it will be the first time I play Dead Space, so everything is new to me.

According to
Reuters,
Wii Sports Resort will be launching in Japan in June to help battle the slowdown of sales that the country is experiencing. While in the rest of the world Wii sales outsell all competition, in Japan PS3 sales recently rose due to NEW SOFTWARE.
Anyway, they also say that "overseas" can expect to go to the
Resort in July... but over which seas remains a mystery.

Europe, ea, rockband 2, rb
...

Just a quick post to let you know that
Rockband II is on the way to all three consoles, including Wii. Rockband II will launch for Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 27, while the Wii version is set for the
24th of April. This is for the European territories, just in-case you forgot to read the post title

Anyone excited for this? Personally this is a game that can ONLY be fully enjoyed in an actual house, apartment dwellers are out. You can't just mumble past the Beastie Boys and be happy, you gotta shout "Sabatoge" as loud as you can while rockbanding, and then thats only good while your buddies are rocking the world away on guitars and drums and stuff. Anyone getting bored or saturated by all this guitar hero/rockband music game stuff? I am, but some mystical part of me still wants the Beatles music game when it's ready, from what we hear so far its 100% Beatles music, they can always change that, but lets hope not. Anyone get angry when you hear a song in public and some kid talks about how he heard the song from Rockband, and now he's a fan because of it? - it rips me up. ...

Yesterday, SEGA announced its plans to bring a eccentric Wii game called
Let's Tap to the United States and Europe. Created by Sonic creator Yuji Naka, Let's Tap offers a new method of control: tapping. With five mini-games that have you racing through a course or balancing blocks, Let's Tap is controlled entirely by placing the WiiMote down on a flat surface and tapping.
Let's Tap is on track for American and European releases this summer.

Still no date for the DS GTA, but TakeTwo DID open the window for North American release of the game. They say to expect it to be out sometime between February and April. Technically, tha'ts a 3 month window, but some people would call it a two month window counting from the 1st to the 1st. Yet others would say "The time between February and April is called MARCH, idiot"
But, what we do know is that unless plans change, the window should not open any wider than the three months shown.

Disaster definitely won't see a 2008 release? That's not (entirely) true.
Earlier this week, several German and Danish gaming magazines "confirmed" that Disaster: Day of Crisis would be released in Europe on October 24th. Nintendo responded by calling the news "rumor and speculation", but that rumor and speculation has turned out to be true. Today, Nintendo of Europe officially announced that Disaster: Day of Crisis will release in Europe on October 24 of this year.
Check out
this Flickr set for over 90 images from the game, just released yesterday, and check after the break for the full press release.
Still excited? Stay tuned to N+ for more news, including (hopefully) a US release date announcement.

According to a press release straight from Telltale, the first episode in the Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People series, Homestar Ruiner, is set to be released this Monday on both the PC and WiiWare service. Each episode in the series will cost 1000 points, and they will be released monthly.
We hope the game actually does release Monday, unlike what
happened when we
promised Mega Man was coming...
(totally not our fault).Check after the break for the full press release.

You've seen the
announcement and scans and you've seen the
first footage - what's next? How about some pricing and release date information?
... for Japan, at least. Back in SNES days, people would have been happy to pay at least $50 dollars for a new installment in the series. According to Famitsu, however, will sell on WiiWare for 1000 Wii Points, or $10 USD. Famitsu also mentions the game will see a September release in Japan, and we can only assume it's likely to release in America around that time as well.
Famitsu and Nintendo Power have now both suggested Mega Man 9 will feature downloadable content. Any ideas on what it will be? Let us know in the comments.
We have also received several new screenshots, which you can see after the break.

Not too much has been said about
Wii exclusive Fatal Frame IV since
we found out Nintendo may actually own all the rights to the series. Now, it seems that we have a Japanese release date, as well as a decent but not awesome magazine scan with a couple new screens, including the "Emblem, or Logo Design" for the game.
Japan Launch: July 31Read more... for the scan. Then

We haven't heard anything about Disaster: Day of Crisis since E3 2007, where it was very briefly mentioned in an interview with Beth Llewelyn. The game was first shown at E3 2006, and most thought it had been left for dead. Luckily, Famitsu reminded us of the game, and even confirmed that it is indeed still coming out!
According to the Japanese magazine, the game is coming out on July 3 in Japan. Still no word on an American release date, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese date changes. Famitsu also announced a release date for Super Mario Stadium Family Baseball, which is due out on June 19 in Japan.
Personally, I've very pleased with any news about D:DoC. I've been interested in the game since it was revealed, and can only hope it's as good as it seems...

So let me get this straight... America gets Brawl before Europe, with no indication when the game will reach us, but Europe get Mario Kart Wii before the US to keep us sweet. OK, fair enough. Then it's announced that Mario Kart Wii will be release in the US on
27th April 2008, so it's pretty much a worldwide launch.
It may sound petty, but that's a pretty good kick in the face for Europe. Anyhoo, I shouldn't really be negative - it should be a top game after all, and the more people online with it, the better!
UPDATE! Full press release after the break.

Rockstar Games have recently sent out the Propoganda Newsletter to let us know that The decently-selling PS2 game "BULLY" is making it's way to both the 360 and the Wii. Graphics will be "up-heaved" for both systems, more so for the 360, and controls will also be re-done... pretty much only for the Wii.
The game is going to pretty much be a port, but they have added extra missions and content into the game. Some of the extra content was drafted specifically for Wii controls, like in Biology class where you disect things...
BULLY: Scholarship Edition is planned for March 4th on both systems in North America (Rated M for Mature)
