Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars' official site, officially launched today. Peep it out, it looks very nice, shows off the game pretty well, a game I will get, and has some big videos up. They also let you grab this cool widget with videos in it, we posted it here to show it off:
Still no date for the DS GTA, but TakeTwo DID open the window for North American release of the game. They say to expect it to be out sometime between February and April. Technically, tha'ts a 3 month window, but some people would call it a two month window counting from the 1st to the 1st. Yet others would say "The time between February and April is called MARCH, idiot"
But, what we do know is that unless plans change, the window should not open any wider than the three months shown.
After having been through several legal mincing machines Rockstar now finally gets permission to release Manhunt 2 in the EU.
The game has been out in the US since october 2007(!) and it has been the victim quite a lot of controversy. But the British Board of Film Classification has finally come around and has given the game a classification that enables Rockstar to release the game in Europe.
It will be released on PS2, Wii and PSP on October 31st.
According to a post at UGO, Rockstar Games has been sending out surveys regarding Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the DS. We have no information on the game, so anything is nice, but everything leaked in this survey seems obvious: open world-exploration and a mature storyline.
There is, however, some new information, such as the fact that the game will support ad-hoc multiplayer, replayable missions, and stylus-based minigames. According to the survey, Chinatown Wars will feature over 70 missions and last about 20 hours.
Rockstar Games have recently sent out the Propoganda Newsletter to let us know that The decently-selling PS2 game "BULLY" is making it's way to both the 360 and the Wii. Graphics will be "up-heaved" for both systems, more so for the 360, and controls will also be re-done... pretty much only for the Wii.
The game is going to pretty much be a port, but they have added extra missions and content into the game. Some of the extra content was drafted specifically for Wii controls, like in Biology class where you disect things...
BULLY: Scholarship Edition is planned for March 4th on both systems in North America (Rated M for Mature)
"Read More" for the transcript Rockstar sent out...
Well if you don't know by know, then get educated: Manhunt 2 was rated down from AO to M based off of the way the stealth kills are obscured in game. You may remember saying that I thought it improved the games flavor as opposed to destroying it. Anyway I got 3 new videos that we can peek at showing off the new stealth kills and exactly how they look...
"Read More" if you are 17 years old or older for the videos, if your not at least 17 then you shouldn't worry about getting this game anyway.
One last trailer has been released by Rockstar Games for their latest controversial title, Manhunt 2. A title I have been looking forward to since I first heard of it's production. Game one was amazing, seriously, if you are a fan of stories in games, they don't get much more unique than Manhunt. Suda 51 and his team Grasshopper Manufacture, I think are the only rivals to Rockstar in story and plot when it comes to their Manhunt franchise.
Anyway for the 17 years old or older audience who wants to dig the latest trailer for Manhunt 2 "Read More"...
Rockstars Manhunt 2 is set to come out in the very near future, on October 31st aka Halloween. Rockstar has just sent out a little bit of information of three of the classes of hunters in the game. If you played the first game then you know how having different types of hunters drives the story. Where you are, why these particular hunters are hunting you, and even how the "puzzles" in the certain areas work depends on these guys psyche. The 3 hunters they show off are The Ward Guards, The Deviants, and The Project Security.
Read more for the videos and info... Be Warned: videos include brief foul-language and extra violent images. Probably not for anyone under the age of 17
The official Manhunt 2 website has had huge upgrades lately. There are downloads (like an awesome screensaver!) and pictures icons and all that, but whats neat is when you take the virtual tour of the Dixmor Asylum Ward and Patient Files (flash needed). The ward has alot of files that are hard to read, but offer really deep preview into the story and what went on before you woke up nuts in the game. You also get two really well put together (officialy voice cast) study sessions with the nurse and the two main characters of the game Leo Kasper, and you Daniel Lamb. They are interactive to play a number of different tapes of each character. If you are older than 18 I HIGHLY recomend checking out the page, they did an awesome job with the entire presentation. A REALLY awesome job.
Manhunt 2, the latest and greatest controversial game for Rockstar/Take Two has gone through hell, and maybee even back...
During it's production the game took little advertising to garnish very large hype among horror, macabre, and splatter fans. Once the game was finalized and sent to the ESRB to be rated and released for the confirmed July 2007 date , fans rejoiced as the gore-fest project was just about to be released.
The ESRB rated the game AO (Adults Only) effectively killing the killer game from being produced on the 3 inteded platforms: psp, ps2, and Wii gaming systems. Europe refused to even rate the game. And since then the game was "shelved" into status unknown. Rockstar Games took as long as they were allowed in window of appealing to the ratings boards before they actually made their move. Since then we have heard no verdict on what became or will become of Manhunt 2, either a re-worked game dropping it's status to an M rating, or a re-rated unchanged game, or even the cancellation of the game.
Today though sparks some curious clue as to it's direction. While visiting my friends who were at work selling games at employer Gamestop, the supervisor had informed me that Manhunt 2 was BACK in the system for pre-ordering, and that the estimated release date is now November 2! I never knew that the game was taken out of the system, but he promises it was, and that they recieved an e-mail telling them they can start taking pre-orders on the Rated M Manhunt 2, that the entire thing is "back on track".
So what do you think is going on here? a Gamestop ploy to pre-order "just in case" in comes back out? a temporary M rating? an official rating and/or release date? do you think the game was re-worked, or do you think that the ESRB judged the game a little more professionaly now? - OR is my buddy making everything up?
Take2's Press Release confirms that not only Bully, but Table Tennis will also make it's jump to Wii. Sure, this is just another one of the millions of ports that get thrown to the Wii, but it should be a perfect port right? I mean WiiSports tennis was fantastic and the Miis moved for you. I can't wait to get my hands on this port, somthing I very rarely want. Here is some release info for the press:

- How do you guys feel about this game? was it the awesome on 360? was it the lame? will it go from the lame to the awesome? or will it go from the awesome to the lame?
At this rate, video-games are never going to recieve an equal light in the realm of entertainment. Rockstars new adventure into the realm of horror entertainment is being blocked out of publication due to the "AO" or Adults Only rating the ESRB has given it. Europe as continent has decided that it will not allow sales of the game within it's lands.
What exactly does AO stand for? read more to hear my opinions, and please, make yours known as well... be advised that mature related discussion will take place inside, no bad-words, bad links, or bad images, if any bad-worded comments are made I will delete them, just a mature themed topic. you are now advised...
A few updates that have been sitting in the internet, not getting many reports. So I said "hey, alot of Nplussers love Manhunt, why not bring them this news"? - So here I am bringing you some not-terribly-new footage, but probably new to most of you, along with some terribly new concept art. It is advised that you are 17 or older to view the Gameplay trailer or view some of the concept art. I trust you all are using your best judgement.
Manhunt 2 on Nintendo Wii... NINTENDO Wii. I know, we have already gone through this, Rockstar supporting Nintendo omg wozorborxx and all that... but you have GOT to check out the updates to this game. It looks like Rockstar is honestly supporting Nintendo, not just hashing games onto it. Ugh! Jack Thompson is going to LOVE this game...
