You know the story, two pokemon games sell awesome, make a third with small changes here and there and you got a billion seller on your hands: Red'n'Blue had Yellow, Gold'n'Silver had Crystal, Ruby'n'Saphire had Emerald, and It looks like Daimond'n'Pearl will have a Platinum! Who here is poke-pumped?! This, for now, will be counted as rumor, because it's not OFFICIAL, well at least not in official english, british or aussie. Anyway "Read more"... for the scans from Corocoro Magazine...

Mario Kart Wii is probably my most anticipated first party game of 2008. No, scratch that, it is my most anticipated first party game of 2008.
Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu recently had a feature on the friggin awesome game, and confirmed that it was, in fact, friggin awesome. Famitsu confirmed a release date of April 10 in Japan, playable bikes in cup mode, special bike actions like wheelies, a total of sixteen courses, 12 players online, and Mii support. Oh my crap.
The new courses revealed were: Luigi Circuit, Moo Moo Country, Mushroom Canyon, Toad Factory, Mario Circuit, Coconuts Mall, DK Snowboard Cross, and Wario Mines. Returning courses include: Peach Beach (GC), Yoshi Falls (DS), Ghost Swamp 2 (SNES), Mario Circuit (N64), Sherbert Land (N64), Hey Ho Beach (GBA), Monty Town (DS), Waluigi Stadium (GC).
Other things confirmed include Baby Peach as a playable character, an online league and worldwide rankings, local rankings, a specific channel for the online portions of the game, the ability to send and receive time attack scores via WiiConnect24, the ability to send and receive ghosts, and possible GameCube controller support.

Zero ~ Tsukihami no Kamen, also named as
Fatal Frame: Mask of Lunar Eclipse (tentative title),
already known to be
exclusive to Wii, produced by
Tecmo and Grasshopper Manufacture, including directing from G
oichi Suda / Suda 51, published by
Nintendo who will also be handling all marketing and sales around the world... (*breath*) ...is also garnering a sweet new rumor:
As an interesting note, rumors have stated that the Big N has purchased the Fatal Frame name, and it looks like one of the industry's top horror franchises could now be a Nintendo exclusive from now on. This is exactly the kind of announcement hardcore gamers have been waiting for on Wii.
- IGN
Considering the source, it feels comfortably reliable. Considering Nintendo having master control over this, the number IV in the series, the rumor feels even more reliable. What do you think of this rumor? does this make sense to you, does it make absolutely no sense, what's your "gut" telling you?
Oh and by the way the
Fatal Frame IV gallery has been updated with higher quality pictures that are also watermark free. Same images, but better to look at and use for projects!

This is most likely true, but as NOA has not yet confirmed it, I'm posting it as a rumor.
According to
GameFront.de, Nintendo held a press conference in Tokyo today regarding their financial results. Apparently, the company spokesman also announced a few other things, including date ranges for Wii Fit's American and European launches. The article says that Wii Fit will launch in North America in April and Europe in June. No details on pricing were announced.
April ... seems like enough time to get fit for your summer trip to the beach.

The world's first
E For All Expo is set to take place from October 18 through October 21 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The E For All team recently updated their site to feature the games and accessories that would be shown off at the event. Two Mario Kart related things are in the featured products list, including
Mario Kart and
Mario Kart D5 Race Set.
It seems pretty obvious that 'Mario Kart' is referring to Mario Kart Wii, and we have no clue what 'Mario Kart D5 Race Set' refers to. Possibly a typo (DS)?
Let us know if you are planning on attending E For All!
via GoNintendoUpdate: The site has now been updated to say 'Mario Kart DS Race Set'. So yeah, just a simple mistake.

Last week, a new SKU for the Wii showed up at retailers. We held off on posting the news, because we assumed it just signified the launch of the
WiiMote Jackets.
Today, the folks over at
Wired posted that entering the UPC into the
UPC Database yielded a result for
Wii Play 'n Learn, registered by Nintendo of America. We assume this is either a new game, or a bundle with Big Brain Academy. You can expect to hear more at Nintendo's American event on October 10.

Yes, the
rumors are true. The Wii Zapper will be released bundled with Link's Crossbow Training.
Nintendo just sent out a press release confirming the (mini)game, and a date of November 19 and price of $19.99. Sounds pretty sweet to me, and I'd be willing to pay 20 bucks for it.
Hit the jump for the full press release.

rumor, seagull, rockstar, take two
...

Manhunt 2, the latest and greatest controversial game for Rockstar/Take Two has gone through hell, and maybee even back...
During it's production the game took little advertising to garnish very large hype among horror, macabre, and splatter fans. Once the game was finalized and sent to the ESRB to be rated and released for the confirmed July 2007 date , fans rejoiced as the gore-fest project was just about to be released.
The ESRB rated the game AO (Adults Only) effectively killing the killer game from being produced on the 3 inteded platforms: psp, ps2, and Wii gaming systems. Europe refused to even rate the game. And since then the game was "shelved" into status unknown. Rockstar Games took as long as they were allowed in window of appealing to the ratings boards before they actually made their move. Since then we have heard no verdict on what became or will become of Manhunt 2, either a re-worked game dropping it's status to an M rating, or a re-rated unchanged game, or even the cancellation of the game.
Today though sparks some curious clue as to it's direction. While visiting my friends who were at work selling games at employer Gamestop, the supervisor had informed me that Manhunt 2 was BACK in the system for pre-ordering, and that the estimated release date is now November 2! I never knew that the game was taken out of the system, but he promises it was, and that they recieved an e-mail telling them they can start taking pre-orders on the Rated M Manhunt 2, that the entire thing is "back on track".
So what do you think is going on here? a Gamestop ploy to pre-order "just in case" in comes back out? a temporary M rating? an official rating and/or release date? do you think the game was re-worked, or do you think that the ESRB judged the game a little more professionaly now? - OR is my buddy making everything up?

Could the game that first brought us the DK Rap be coming to the DS? So says the newest rumor from British magazine NGamer.
This posts comes from NeoGAF:
Sorry if this has been posted, but the new issue of Ngamer has come out in the UK and a reader wrote a letter asking if Donkey Kong 64 could come out on the Wii Virtual Console considering the expansion pack. The magazine says the latest whisperings from Rareware suggests it's more likely to show up on the DS.
Looking at some of the discussion, it appears not everyone was a fan of DK64. I remember playing it time and time again and it providing hours of fun - right up there with Mario 64 and OoT. Did anyone else enjoy it?
And as the post from NeoGAF states, DK64 required a memory expansion pack. Could that work with the DS? Maybe they could use the Opera RAM Pak...
Please let us know if you have any confirmation or scans from NGamer!

preorder, ds, stylus, pokemon
...
First-off let me appologize for the lack of a source. Some-how it got lost in the internet
! But I can assure you I was not dreaming when I read the rumor-news. Appearantly if you pre-order Pokemon Diamond and/or Pearl you can pick up a collectors Stylus.
Any information beyond what the stylus looked like is vague, The sources at the bottom of the page say somthing about having pokemon characters on them, and don't explain if you got a DSLite stylus and/or a DSBeta stylus. Are there two different stylus? Like a pink transluscent "Pearl" stylus, or a blue transluscent "Diamond" stylus? Or will it be one kicky-swiit combination of both like the stylus to the left? (granted thats not really a stylus, and the chances of it becomming one are Ultra
64 Slim)
Inside the DS Lite graphic I have constructed for you, you can find the visual reminder of the release date in the US:
"4:22" aka
April 22nd. The two games are currently available for pre-order at EB Gamestops around the country, and are sure to sell out fast. Every generation of pokemon games has sold out wherever I pre-ordered mine and simply securing your copy is reason enough to put five 'Biggie-Fries' down early.
- Captain Seagull
P.S. if you happen to see any news refuting or affirming this rumor please contact us!

NGCFrance is reporting on a rumor that Wii Sports 2 is in the works and may feature Swimming, Volleyball, Horseback Riding, and Hockey. Just remember, it's a rumor, but we all know Nintendo has to be working on something as a followup to the unprecidented success and praise the first game earned. Also rumored is online play, which seems only natural.
My prediction was a Wii Winter Sports with Winter Olympic style games. Think about having your own Curling team brushing the ice as you guide your [dumb heavy snork-like] puck down the lane as your Japanese competitors watch online, cursing your team's coordination and skill!
Anyone have any good ideas for more Wii Sports?

We know all of you loyal N+ readers have heard of the Wii exclusive "The Sims"
before so it's not entirely 'new' news. However, community member
Dr.Z has informed us through our
"Look What I Found" forum, that a
Wikipedia entry claims to in-fact utilize your Mii creations. Dr.Z reminds us all though, that Wikipedia can be edited by anyone who wants to edit, despite the hard work the moderators due to ensure reliablility. So we can still chalk this one up to rumor. I have decided to bring this news forward because any tidbits of rumor we can get is fine by us, or at least Mii.
This brings up one interesting question though... "How on earth will EA animate my crazy Mii creations who have eyes hidden beneath hair lines, eyebrows used as mustaches, and mustaches being used as beards?"

Fresh off the loose lips of a Toys R Us Manager comes rumors of a Spring 2007 "relaunch" sporting a $200 price tag (presumably without Wii Sports) and all those pretty colors we were tempted with for years (red black silver green and E3 Wii blue). This also is the timeframe in which Nintendo plans to ramp up support for the WiiConnect24 Service and drop dozens of online games to stores. Just the thing they may need to keep sales extremely strong post 2006 with the rumored 360 price drop and PS3's delayed European release both predicted to occur at the same time.
If this does happen, would anyone have preferred a different color?
White is still my first choice but I think I need a Black one, too.
