The Conduit, from High Voltage Software, was universally acclaimed as the most anticipated third-party Wii title of 2009. The developer, previously known for titles such as
Dora Saves the Snow Princess, promised they would make The Conduit "the definitive first-person shooter experience for the Wii." Does The Conduit live up to the hype, or does this Cinderella story end with a rotting pumpkin? Read on to find out.

First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates on my part. It has been a rough couple of weeks for me... from my birthday to my uncle dying to one of my friends having surgery. But hopefully things will only go up hill from here!
But today I was birthday shopping for my sisters boyfriend and guess what I found? A copy of The Conduit! I went to Target, Wal-Mart, Gamestop, and my work (Sam's Club) and they were all sold out! I finally found a copy (their last one BTW) at Best Buy. Apparently, this game is pretty big! It reached the
Top 20 at Amazon and
is sold out at Walmart.com!I have put a good hour into it, and it is AWESOME! If you haven't picked up your copy yet, I would strongly suggest that you do so!
If you have picked it up, what do you think of the game so far? We would love to hear your thoughts on the game in the comments!

Sega and High Voltage Software held an event tonight to show off the multiplayer modes in The Conduit to select media outlets (no, we're not there...). IGN just posted a "Multiplayer Trailer", which you can see below. Multiplayer screenshots can be found here.
I haven't even watched the trailer yet - I saw it posted on IGN and rushed to post it here for you guys. I'm off to watch it now...
EDIT: IGN's embed code apparently isn't working, but you can check out the trailer directly at
IGN.

GameStop has apparently teamed up with Sega / High Voltage Software to offer an exclusive limited-edition of their upcoming Wii-FPS, The Conduit. Priced at $49.99 (the same price as the regular edition), GameStop's special edition "upgrade" features a 24-page art book with concept art and digital images, a custom ASE (All-Seeing-Eye) with unique detail and lighting, and an exclusive "Secret Agent" multiplayer character.
It's possible that this "special edition" is just a regular copy of the game, with a code to unlock the extras. The following quote from GameStop.com points to that possibility: "Art book and instructions to unlock the Secret Agent multiplayer skin and ASE device will be packaged inside the game." If that's the case, we're sure the codes will leak online
pretty soon.

My most anticipated title on Wii? Other than Wario Land, definitely.

Just a case of Nintendo showcasing their third-party developers, or something more? There's always a chance Nintendo is publishing the title...
Either way, Nintendo will indeed be showcasing The Conduit at this year's Penny Arcade Expo. High Voltage Software's Eric Nofsinger said: "We are incredibly honored to be featured there at Nintendo's booth. It's a fantastic opportunity for us to receive input and feedback directly from other gamers."
We'll be looking forward to updates.

It's so friggin awesome. Just watch the video.
In related news, High Voltage recently responded to a question about split-screen multiplayer and bots. Eric Nosfinger explained that "We are trying our hardest to have as many modes as possible" and that their main criterion for inclusion is that every mode has to be of "stellar quality." I'd say so.
