Starting on October 12, Nintendo of America will offer a "limited edition" Wii Sports Resort bundle with two MotionPlus units instead of one, for $59.99.
Currently, Wii Sports Resort is bundled with one MotionPlus unit for $49.99, with additional MotionPlus accessories costing $19.99.
Sounds like a great deal ... if you don't already own Wii Sports Resort and an additional MotionPlus. Grr.

Nintendo's
official Japanese website has revealed two "new" games to be included in the upcoming
Wii Sports Resort, and ... they're not new at all. Golf, previously seen in
Wii Sports and Table Tennis, previously seen in
Wii Play, are the two new additions, making a total of 5 that we're currently aware of. That leaves at least five more for us to speculate about.
We're sure the Wii MotionPlus accessory will add a lot of depth to the experiences, but we're still left wondering why Nintendo couldn't come up with anything new...
Wii Sports Resort will be released on July 24 in PAL regions, and July 26 in America.

In surprise press releases today, Nintendo of America and Nintendo Europe confirmed release dates for the Wii MotionPlus accessory and Wii Sports Resort:

Wii MotionPlus releases in America on June 8th, for $19.99 (GameStop is charging $5 extra...)

Wii Sports Resort (bundle) releases in America on July 26th, for $49.99

Wii MotionPlus releases in Europe on June 12th, pricing undisclosed

Wii Sports Resort (bundle) releases in Europe on July 24th, pricing undisclosed
A release date of June 8th for Wii MotionPlus means that Virtua Tennis 2009, the first title to support Wii MotionPlus, will be without the accessory for weeks after its release on May 19. Also of note, every copy of Wii Sports Resort will ship with an included MotionPlus accessory, and stock images confirm that the accessory will ship inside of a permanent, elongated glove/sleeve.
