North America: 3DS Launch Games List

, , ,

The system launches with some awesome specs, but only "eh"-decent games unfortunately. Some are good, while others are just not impressive at all. Remember though that Pokemon Black and White MIGHT count as a 3DS-game... in which case you now have a killer launch title. There are thirty games coming in the "launch window" though (which closes at the time of E3). The list as found on joystiq:

First-Party:

Pilotwings Resort
Steel Diver
Nintendogs + Cats

Third-Party:

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition
The Sims 3
Madden NFL Football
Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D
Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
Ridge Racer 3D
Super Monkey Ball 3D
Bust-A-Move Universe
Samurai Warriors: Chronicles
Asphalt 3D
Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D
Rayman 3D
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars

This is why I'll be waiting a few months. Maybe next January, when it'll be on special offer. Probably with a bundle of games, too.

Out of the 4 games I pre-ordered, only Street Fighter will be available on day 1 mad

Maybe I'll get Steel Diver

I'm personally going to wait until there's a game that calls my name. This has to be the worst lineup for a Ninty console IMO, right up there with the GameCube's starting lineup. There's some good games in the works, so there's no dark future ahead.

Yeah, the future looks awesome but this launch list is just not doing it. Thank god for all the awesome stuff I played at E3.

That new PSP2 looks awfully fiddly. Who's bright idea was it to turn the entire back into a button?

I'm actually quite tempted by Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars - turn-based strategy games are always quite appealing. Will wait for the first reviews, mind.

Has anyone blogged about the 3DS online yet? It's been massively improved. The 16 diget code in every game jazz is now gone! The online will resemble the PS3 and xBox more than Wii. Which is fantastic!

Yeaaaaah, we had posted that in our 3DS feature wrap up smile
