Rumor: Wii Goldeneye Remake In The Works

The rumor mill is hard at work this week. First off is the very official-looking rumor that Activision is currently working on a Wii remake of the über-popular Goldeneye for N64, something a lot of gamers were constantly asking for. But not everything is as good as it sounds.

According to Eurogamer, Activision is currently working on a Goldeneye remake for the Wii, and it has sent surveys including a couple of details such as the image seen in this post and the fact that it will feature 4-player local multiplayer and 8-player online multiplayer modes. The 'downside'? It will feature Daniel Craig's rendition of 007, not Pierce Brosnan's.

The game, according to the report, is set to come out November 2010 (and probably be announced during E3).
UPDATE: Activision is also working on a DS version of the remake; maybe it will be closer to the original N64 game?

@Spook Your not even close to old, *LOL* My dad is over 50 and still enjoys videogames, I just thought my dad would enjoy a shooter.(My grandpa is also an Legend Of Zelda fanatic)

We all know Daniel Graig is an Imposture s this would mean Activision ruined this game allready.

May not be that bad......Bond is not Bruce Wayne, Jame Bond is a code name(?), so its pretty flexible.

Perfect Dark also required the expansion pack for the N64 and use the same game engine as Goldeneye

I'm not against Daniel Craig's Bond (I actually enjoyed the last two films), BUT let's face it, Goldeneye IS Pierce Brosnan's, no one else's.
