Welcome to Santa Destroy

, , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Honestly which of you gamers over the age of 17 will NOT be getting No More Heroes? It already from what little we have looks so original that it is owed respect by at least playing it once. This is my most anticipated 3rd party game to come out ever I think, easily this year. Anyway I just got a hold of a few more screenshots that feature mainly the places within Santa Destroy. They also came with a map, additional character artwork, and images that show off how game mechanics like accepting missions and buying/changing Travis' outfit! The No More Heroes Gallery is loaded up and ready for action!

I'm totally going to get it - and I'm over 17 too! :O

But looking at the map makes me think the town is quite small? p:

as long as the city is somewhat interactive, or you can enter more than just the buildings shown in the latest images, i'll be satisfied.

i think it's interesting that originally you were able to "collect over 100 shirts for Travis to wear" but bow it seems you can change a lot more like glasses, pants, etc. in addition to the shirts.

fun!

is everyone forgetting this ISN'T GTA? Iam sure that whatever happens with this game it is going to be awesome as long as Suda and Grasshopper don't miss their mark.

Of course we know it's not GTA Captain but most games in this genre (I would say that No More Heroes is somewhat in the same genre as GTA, Scarface, The Godfather etc.) have a much larger playing area.

i dunno.. i think this game is going for art and experience over sandbox and randomness.. so i think it's as far from gta and scarface as a puzzle game, or an rpg... it just happens to have a city, after that, the resemblances fade very fast.

seriously, suplex burger.

i know. Killer 7's closest game would be Resident Evil 1. And it is definetly NOT RE.

i hope this game gets released soon, looks cool manga style. i'm fed up with the wii's console for kids and family image, the wii needs a good range of mature titles to balance this image. i was disappointed that manhunt was banned here in england, hopefully we'll get the edited version a few months after the US release. it's a shame there's no online play on no more heroes, and the wii badly needs some online wi-fi games. was hoping to be playing battalion wars online this year, now delayed until 08! i'm also sick of all the old ps2 games getting ported to the wii, just because 3rd party developers want to make some quick easy money! well done 51.

hopefully this will stir the pot early on wii... something killer 7 was a little late to do for gamecube.

from what i've read the versions released in japan and europe will have all blood and gory replaced with black smoke and gold coins. why the hell edit an adult game so it looks like mario. luck u.s. still gets the blood kept in, plus they've got manhunt2 released ok.
reviews of no more heroes say that although the story and game play are great, it suffers badly in the city parts graphically. by this i mean that the wii has trouble keeping a smooth frame rate, and buildings and trees pop up from just a few feet away! due to the wii's small memory the game is being streamed straight from the disk, and causes the wii to make loud whirring noises! shame nintendo didn't put much memory into the wii, because it's gonna make good games like this suffer.
as a result of it being edited in the U.K and the dodgey frame rate pop-up i'm gonna save my money for GTA4 for now.
