Nintendo Channel Hits North America!

Just wanted to very quickly post and let you guys know that the Nintendo Channel was released in North America this morning. The update hit right as I was leaving for school, so expect another moderator or myself to be updating this post throughout the day with details.

The available DS demos are:
  • Brain Age 2
  • Flash Focus
  • Crosswords DS
  • Jam Sessions
  • Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
  • Cooking Mama 2: Cooking With Friends
  • Disney Friends
  • Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword
As in interesting note, this update put me over the top with internal storage space....

Well, first of all your presented with a list of the latests vids of Wii games, Wiiware, DS Games, and interviews. There's an option at the left side where you click to bring up more options. The options include settings, DS demo's, a place where you can rate games you already have, rate wiiware games (when it comes out) , you can also buy games that you like (it will launch the internet channel).

Someone should get some pics or vids of the channel. Maybe from the nintendo site, or probably hook their wii up to the pc to take some snapshots or record some vid. I probably could, but setting up the thing is a pain in the captains quarters if you know what I mean.

Is that just teh VC games, or does it take you to an online shop to buy Wii and DS games?

well it's only for the NDS games and the Nintendo Wii games (i think). When you click on a title that interests you, it will show some detailed info of the game (it will have a pic of the game cover) like the company, the rating, the ammount of players, and if it's wifi compatible. At the bottom, it will have a button saying something like "purchase" and from there if you click on it, it will ask you if you want to leave the channel to launch a e-commerce thingy to buy the game (which will give you a list of sites to get the game).


Yays that WiiWare is coming out 5 days from now in America. I gots to get me a Wii Point card soon like.

It launches a page in the Internet Channel that gives you links to the item at amazon, toys r us, walmart, etc.
