Who'd A Trumped It

It should be a perfect match. Doctor Who is superb. Top Trumps are ace. It's just that a "virtual" game of Top Trumps: Doctor Who doesn't appeal. It's coming to the DS this Spring, and whilst they've tried their best to spice up the basic card game, I don't think Eidos will have a bestseller on their hands.

The game does boast a host of gameplay modes, and if you love the Good Doctor as much as my little brother, you'll probably be interested in getting this. Although the above screenshot is from the PS2/PC version, it gives you a taste of what the game will be like.

It features most of the characters from the new series, but if it hasn't got Sally Sparrow in it, I'm not buying...

Dr. Who = throwup. i couldn't sit through two minutes of the show. much too campy for my tastes. but hey, not everyone prefers cats right?

It really depends on which episode you watch first. Somewhere between a quarter and half of all episodes are really rubbish, while everybody loves Blink. Especially those of us who fancy Sally Sparrow. Which is all of us.

Shame it's obviously going to be so awful. I always thought a Doctor Who game for Wii could be potentially awesome, with Wii Remote/ Sonic Screwdriver action. Of course, the rights would be given to an awful developer, so it wouldn't live up to its potential.
